They own a stable of horses and controled the mines, when they got there,the dwarves were relutant to let them stay in their property, but she promise them that they will work for free and she gave shown them an amulet. They said that she was a not only a noble of House Garess but that amulet symbolised the next owner of the house also the house and the dwarves were their close friends and allies. Dalan and his mother was given their own rooms, they work for two more years, he work with the horses, feed them, also fix their horseshoes since the dwarve family were experts at blacksmithing, the family tought him the secret how to make horseshoes and weapons. Soon his mother's health took it's toll, on her last words, she gave him the amulet, who told him this will lead him to ownership of the house and told him to rule it with pride. She was buried with the other deaccessed noble dwarve lords. He created a bond with Clegdin, son of the dwarves owners, Clegdin and Dalan spar with each other, teach each other moves and Clegdin even gave him a horse. Over time, he became a cavalier, and he and his friend join up on an adventure.
