Hey. Have you used Maptools before, or how do you work the map thing when you run?

Have used Maptools before, but been long enough that I'd need to spend a few hours learning to set it up again.

For the group I've been running with, we just image-ripped maps off Adventure Path PDFs and emailed it, since it was faster. I wouldn't recommend doing that with a group I've never worked with before, as the lack of minis becomes a problem. My group worked only because we used a chess-based naming system for the squares on a given map.

Note that Dark Maiden has specified that the game is to be online, not PbP. Its a recruitment for that kind of media, not a discussion on the pros or cons of PbP. On topic, please! =)

1) No.
2) Yes, but if it was 1 player-1 DM, I'd prefer to do it over an internet medium, such as AIM or Skype.

I tentatively move out in May of this year. So a short campaign, series of one-shot adventures, or any campaign that isn't longer than, say, two chapters out of a full Adventure Path--these would all be within the time frame I find feasible.

Fellow Rockfordian. I won't be here for much longer (graduate medical school in April/May). But I'd be happy to play a one shot or something.

But if you just recently moved to Rockford, let me tell you right now: get the hell out of there ASAP. Its a dying town, buddy. Don't waste your potential or career in that corpse of a city.

Hi there, I was looking for an online D&D game, I am most familiar with 3.5 but in my last game we got into pathfinder a bit. I am familiar with maptools and ventrilo and typically play martial characters (haven't felt comfortable enough with casters and they aren't really my play style).

I am in GMT -7:00 and am pretty flexible with times so long as its after work 9am-5pm, monday-friday.

If anyone has any games going on or coming up in need of players please let me know.

Thanks.

Hey, I'm -6 GMT and your schedule works well with mine. I've been actively running online D&D/Pathfinder games for over a decade. I was strongly considering running one of the Adventure Paths. Gimme a email if you want to work together.

Thanks.

Can a sorcerer still cast spells while any of the Form of the Dragon spells (or ability, if a Dragon Disciple) is active?

An official ruling is preferred.

Well both of you can just email me. Again, I'd prefer to be a player myself. I'm a competent GM, but I'm more than willing to defer that workload to someone else. =)

I am looking to join a PF game, preferably a Skype game, but possibly a nonplayer-driven PbP. I have never yet played a Skype game, and a little experience with PbP, but honestly I am not evn sure where to look for PF/D&D. Aside from places like RPGNet or the like, are there any good places to look for a Skype game?

Thanks

I actually do use Skype, among other clients like AIM, yahoo messenger, and Trillian, to run online chat games. Such games typically run as fast as a tabletop game, though getting visual props or maps may occasionally be a problem. The group I usually run such games with have a system of quickly sending jpgs with maps since none of us like the maptools program.

I actually am looking for a new group to run the Kingmaker adventure path. I'd like to be a PC, preferably, but I can DM on Skype if I must. Feel free to drop an email as supersenshib@yahoo.com if you'd like to talk further. If you do email me, please set the email subject as "D&D," otherwise I automatically delete mail from unknown addresses.

I was looking for an online chat game, rather than a PbP. But thanks anyway. My search continues. Good luck with your game!

I'm actually a player looking for an online/AIM/Instant Message or chat client Kingmaker game to join in.

If you're itching to GM Kingmaker, uriel, I'd be happy to join in as a player in a solo or group game. GMing-wise, not so inclined myself.

Hello, longtime lurker, new poster.

I'm looking for an online Kingmaker game, preferably via AIM or other free, computer-illiterate friendly, text-based IM or chatting client.

I'm okay with either 1 DM-1 player or good old fashioned group campaign.

Preferably weekly game sessions. I can generally play any day of the week during the evenings, but weekends are best.I'm in Central Time Zone.

The above has the following caveats that I work around: I occasionally have evening meetings, lectures, or presentations, which I find out about two weeks in advance. I have call every 4th night. These caveats should not pose a problem to attending a game session as long as I am aware of when the next game session is scheduled at least a week in advance.

Cheers,
Razilin
