So I've noticed that the first module's print edition has been unavailable for quite a long time now. Is there any reason for this? All the other books are available in the AP.

I'm running the game soon-ish, and I perfer a print edition when I GM.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I am curious about if anyone else has run this as either a prequel or a sequel as well.

I am currently running some players through Rise of The Runelords, and was thinking for the next game we could do Reign of Winter.

Idea was to run Witchwar Legacy with their Runelords characters as a kinda of epilogue (as long as they don't mess up at the end of the Runelords AP...). This would also setup as a transition to the new campaign which could start 15-20 years or so after their Runelord characters completed this module. Could even have their Runelord characters possibly making cameos in the new adventure, based on how things pan out.

I tackled it a little different.

To figure out how to destroy it, they turned to Brodert in town (Who they have good relations with), and he figured out how to do it. However, It took him two to three days to figure this out, via a trip to Magnimar and visiting his old buddies in the archives there to do so. Magically, these two to three days was about the length of the time it took the party to tackle Thistletop. =)

For the holy water, I created a level 3 spell called Mass Bless Water. All it was is Bless Water, just can do gallons of water instead one flask. They bought a scroll of it, and then the cleric filled the Runewell with create water, and cast the scroll on it. I found this to be simpler solution.
