Adam Daigle's thread about factions got me thinking. Is anyone playing a character that would be considered in opposition to the concepts of their faction? The most obvious one would probably be a Paladin of Iomedae from the Cheliax faction. Describe him/her and explain how they got wrapped up with said faction. How has your PA progression fared with this inherent challenge?

See my post in above mentioned thread:) Qadiran Monk of Abadar. no vow of poverty for my Monk!

The Exchange 4/5

Raylyyn is a monk whose monastery is in Qadira. It is a new monastery, devoted to Abadar. It trains Monks and fighters as Caravan and Merchant Guards, as well as champions of Laws that benefit merchants. Abadar teaches that through Order Prosperity exists and it is not something shameful as long as it is obtained in an orderly manner. (note trade laws are things of governments and though they should be obeyed, some times they are chaotic or otherwise detrimental to Qadiran Merchants. In such cases Qadiran Law trumps all but celestial law in the orders eyes.

I chose, as Thea put it "Team Money", for the challenge of making a lawful character fit into the alignment and motivations of the Qadira faction. I love challenges. and since Abadar is a god of both law and wealth, I saw a great opportunity. Ray as a Monk still carries little weight wise, but he does not eschew material wealth like some monks do, rather he flaunts his wealth through expensive clothes, and rare or Unique magical items. Well the later he will do when he earns enough PA to purchase said items. he supports Qadira's desire to monopolize trade in Absalom, even if he chooses to work to such ends through lawful means. He abhors out rite theft, however deception used to return stolen items, or to purchase an item for a lower cost is not true theft.

I look forward to playing Ray at PaizoCon 2011, and maybe a few other conventions in driving distance to Boise.

As of today, with the release of the Ultimate Combat playtest document, the current contents of Chapter 13 are available on paizo.com at http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/resources. In the near future, we will be laying out the contents of that page as a simple, easy to print pdf which will also be kept up to date. We will notify all Pathfinder Society members and customers who have downloaded the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play whenever new content is added to this document, just as we have done with new updates to Chapter 13.

This is the first in several steps we are making to put the most commonly referenced material in as easily-updatable and available a spot as possible.

ok one question. it lists the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Setting on the link.

the description for the pdf on your website reads

"Note: Pathfinder Campaign Setting: World Guide—The Inner Sea replaces this volume as the main Pathfinder campaign setting book. The newer volume has been expanded and updated, and is designed for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game."

but it is not listed on this page except as maybe Pathfinder Player Companion: Inner Sea Primer??? or did i miss it in the deluge of campaign setting's?

color me confused.
