Raven is a Tieflings and one is scarred both physically and emotionally.
It was a cat folk, Molly, that found the young tieflings girl on the street begging. A child of demon and human parentage. Near starvation and nearly all hope gone. The catfolk had little trouble of dragging The half demon girl to her master. Master Arcane.
Magnus was in no mood to have another mouth to feed but saw in her what he once was. She was perhaps Molly age of sixteen. Since his Uncle had pretty much abandon the shop to him and Now his Uncle Jasper lives in a small manor house there was room for her in the shop. Molly had long since taken the attic as her own.
Weeks went by. The girl had not spoken a word but swept up the shop. Kept things clean and neat. Slept in the spare bedroom with Molly curled up at her feet.
Then while putting away some tomes. She discovered a book on birds. She flipped through it and pointed at a Raven. That became her name. It suited her with her long black hair.
Something seemed to ignite with her. She began reading every book Magnus ever kept. Some where rather detailed in magic lore. Although spell book and tomes on magic craft she knew where forbidden.
She came to Magnus and spoke. Asking then begging to read the books she was not to read.
Magnus refused at first. He knew she had the gift. All demon folk are said to have the knack for magic. But did she have the temperament. Would she use her skills and powers for betterment or as a means of revenge against those that scorned her.
Then she dropped to one knee and pledged that she will follow in his footsteps. Pride and hate where not what drove her. Magnus could tell that. It was that day Magnus life and hers changed.
Raven is now apprentice to Magnus x Arcane iii. Master Alchemist and wizard.
