Background:
An elder man, standing a top a cliff, gazing off into the distance, as if in thought. The wind slightly blowing, the season being autumn, leaves of many different colors were blowing past his face, not breaking his gaze. The sun beating on his long white hair, the end of his long beard blowing with the wind, and leaves, tied at the end to keep it all together. His eyes were black, nothingness, suddenly, a young boy sitting atop his roof, watching the distant path through the fog, waiting for his father, to return from their hunt, to feed their starving village. It was winter time, flog had settled around the small mountain village of Zigar... Though the night was clam, with a light snowfall. Down the path, and through patches of clear through the fog, reveled tiny glints of light. The young boy stood up, and studied the area further. He noticed these were not just glints of light, but steel. Weapons and armor of steel, glinting off the moonlight. He noticed there weren't a few men, but many. Marching in columns of three wide, lasting as far as the eye could see. The young boy jumped off the room, landing in the soft snow, and quickly ran inside. His father had taught him how to hunt, with bow and arrow, as well as a spear. He grabbed his bow, attached a quiver to his back, than headed out the door, heading toward the patch he had seen the mysterious men. The path was narrow, wide enough for three men. Alongside the path were mountain walls, and trees as tall as giants.

As he got closer to the path, he began hearing voices, and footsteps, the clinging of armor against the snow, horses trotting through the snow, carrying heavy loads. He still was not close enough to understand the words. The soldiers did not look familiar to the boy, they were not of his village, or any friendly village, or even the entire kingdom of Tibby. They were wearing purple and gold armor, the lead group carrying a banner of a Gold dragon, curled around its self, breathing fire... The background was purple. The boy was closer now, he was now right beside the path, and could now see the mens faces. He quickly looked over them, and quickly seen his father, the mayor of the village Flint. He was tied at the hands and neck by rope, to the reigns of a horse. With men shouting and hitting him in the back with the hilts of their swords. The boy silently followed. He was so concerned for his father, he did not realize they were now upon his village.

The village of Zigar, seemed to be cut right out of the mountain side, and forest in an oval shape, than joined again at the end of the village, and the narrow path continued. The column was now entering the clearing of the village. They stopped at the first few houses, cut the ropes from the horses reigns, and threw Flint to his knees. His head hanging low. A man stood behind him, his sword raised, ready to deliver the finishing blow. The boy quickly climbed to the top of the house he was hiding behind, and let fly an arrow. The arrow pierced the solider in his neck, killing him instantly. The solder fell backwards, and as if planned, Flint quickly rose to his feet, and ran to about the center of the village. The boy, noticing, jumped from the roof, and followed his father. Flint, with his hands now free, was exiting a house as the boy was running by. The boy stopped, and Flint stopped as well. Flint knelt down, and put his hand on the boys shoulder."Rapth my son, I am going to die, my wounds are to deep, and magic is the only thing keeping me alive." Rapth looked at his father, and noticed he could see straight threw his chest, a sword would was clear through. Rapth stood in disbelieve. Flint rose to his feet, and began chanting a spell, and gesturing his hands. Slowly, a rift was forming behind rift. The soldiers were drawing closer, only a few houses away."Rapth, go into this rift. It will take you to a distant land, I want you to look for someone named Amara Li. She is the leader of the Lantern Lodge. She will protect you, and raise you. Go, now." Rapth, still in confusion, turned around, to face the rift. The soldiers were now right in front of them, swords drawn. What did they want? Why were they attacking the village, why were they attacking Flint. Rapth than turned to look at his father. "Go my son." Flint pushed Rapth into the portal, as another sword drove into the chest of Flint. He coughed blood, and feel to his knees. Rapth was watching, reached his hands out, as if to touch his father. Flint looked into his sons eyes, and began chanting, gesturing his hands again. Seconds later, a bright orb shot into the portal, entering Rapths chest. Knocking him unconscious . Flint, muttered "Good luck my son." than fell face first into the snow... to his death.

Rapth awoke in the village of Leckumgee. Luckumgee is a small village in southern Jalmeray, located on the eastern edge of the Segang Jungle. It consists of twenty or so huts, raised on stilts to keep out snakes and other creatures, and prevent flooding during heavy rain. It does not receive many visitors from the outside world, so only a few of the villagers can manage to speak haltingly in Common. Rapth slowly awoke. He was inside a small hut. With a bed, and hearth, with soup cooking on it. A woman was tending to the soup when she noticed Rapth had awoke. She stood up, and walked to his bedside."Hello Rapth, son of Flint. I am Amara Li, leader of the Lantern Lodge. Your father asked me to protect you, and help you harness your new powers. Though you must hide your allegiance to the Lantern Lodge. We are not well liked on this island. Though I have a mission for you... I will teach you how to become a summoner, raise you and protect you, if in exchange, you will establish our faction on this island. Do we have a deal?"

Rapths head was cloudy, he hardly remembered his father at this moment, and what does she mean new powers? Amara Li stood up, and walked back to the soup. She laughed, and than asked. "Your father used the last of his strength, to give you his Eidolon, to help you in the new world. This world is not the same as yours, it is a entire new world. Here, regain your strength." After that fateful night, the years went by quickly. Rapth learned how to summon his fathers Eidolon, and learned the ways to connect, and control the Eidolon. When he was older, he began doing simple missions for the Lantern Lodge. Traveling all around the Inner Sea, but stayed at the headquarters of the faction. Now he was 40, old enough to take on the mission that was assigned to him when he was younger. He picked up his Dagger, Chain Shirt, and traveling gear, and headed toward Jalemray.
