About -Rane
Description - Rane looks quite a bit older than he is. There is nothing 'spare' about him, save for his hair, which falls down his shoulders in dark brown curls, being kept away from his face with a tight braid in each side. He has something of a beak nose, a scar across his cheek from a dagger he didn't quite manage to step out of the way from and brown eyes. He's lean and wiry.
On his back, he carries a longbow, a quiver, and a stuffy backpack; he has a dagger on his belt.
Under his traveler's cloak, he wears armor consisting mainly of boiled leather, although it is reinforced with chainmail in places. His plain brown cloak is fastened with this pin, the only thing he still retains from his village.
Backstory - Rane was born into a Shoanti tribe. He remembers his childhood as a fairly happy one, although some might say it was a harsh way for a child to grow up, ever on the road and never truly safe behind city walls.
That all ended when hill giants fell across the caravan as it traversed the highlands. He was on his own for a while, until an undead-hunting paladin of Sarenrae came by, and took him in.
He learned much from the paladin as he grew up, and has inherited his faith in the sun godess. He generally does good deeds where he can, especially if said deeds involve destroying undead.
His wanderings have recently taken him to Sandpoint, which he hopes to use as a base of sorts to investigate the surrounding area, and kill any undead he might come across.
Rane's interactions with Sandpoint:
Spoiler:
Rane has only recently come into town. However, he has made a small fortune selling furs, rare minerals for alchemy, and other things gathered in the wilds to Ven Vinder, the general store owner, whom he is on fairly good terms with. Not best friends or anything, but they nod at each other when they run into each other.
He's run into Cyrdak Drokkus a few times, and thinks he's pretty foolish.
He has stayed at the Hagfish in a few times, and knows the proprietor by sight. They don't really talk, though.
That's about it. If he isn't 'on the job' so to speak, he usually keeps to himself.
