Probably a not so bright question, but I still need an answer... When the players find the book on the Open Road Pact, should I assume that it is read by them and that the entirety of the Background section of the scenario should be passed to the players?

Thanks!

Well, it actually made sense to me. And the two players would actually gain 1 fame, since they completed the main scenario objective. If nobody has any more insight, that is what I'll do here.

Thanks!

Hello all! So I ran the first half of 2-07 online with 5 players. Due to time constrains (who'd know that all those gremlins would take so much time, eh?) I had to cut the session in half. 2 players won't be able to continue the game, but 2 other wanted to join in. Since it is sort of a Quest Scenario, storywise I saw no problems with that.

Now, the big question, how the hell should I report this??? Give Chronicle Sheets just for the 3 players that ran the entire scenario or include the ones that didn't complete it???

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm still waiting for an update from Devir on these issues. Thanks for your patience, all. Once I have something to announce, I'll definitely let everyone know.

Thanks for that, Jim... Any news on your front?

Mid June and no news whatsoever for Inner Sea World Guide, Kingmaker and Starfinder. If it is delayed, they should at least tell us that it would be delayed.

And all they released was a free PDF of We Be Goblins Too that clearly was made on the run (I mean, two translators for a 16 page book? Very fishy). It appears that they made this in an attempt to say: "Look! We are doing things! Believe us!"

Anyway, that is just to show that a no to Devir should really happen.

Thanks for letting me know. Let me check in with Devir and find out what's happening.

Hey, Jim! Any news on your front? Mid may already and no news whatsoever on Inner Sea World Guide (due to April, according to the previous schedule) and Kingmaker (due this month).

And to be clear, no problem with delays, as long as they are within an acceptable range and well communicated by the responsibles (Devir, in this case).

Thanks for the support you are giving regarding this subject.

First and foremost, thanks for everyone's feedback. I've spoken with Devir about their upcoming products for Brazil, and they have plans to produce a number of books this year and next for both Pathfinder and Starfinder.

Pathfinder in 2018:

April: Inner Sea World Guide
May: Kingmaker Adventure Path #1 (parts 1 and 2)
August: Kingmaker Adventure Path #2 (parts 3 and 4)
November: Kingmaker Adventure Path #3 (parts 5 and 6)

Starfinder in 2018
June: Core Rulebook
October: Alien Archives

For 2019, you'll see the Jade Regent Adventure Path and more core Pathfinder books released. They'll also kick off the Dead Suns Adventure Path for Starfinder and Pact Worlds.

Once partners receive the final rules for Second Edition, we'll let everyone know their plans. We don't expect to know that until later in 2019, however.

Thanks again for supporting Paizo, and if you have any questions feel free to post here in the forums or drop me an email (jim.butler@paizo.com).

Great news! But (there is always a but), what will be done if this schedule is not fulfilled? I mean, a delay of one month or even two we can understand, but what if, let's say, Kingmaker ends up in the limbo this year?

My point is, it is easy to say that many things will be translated but never actually are. We brazilians know that Devir has promissed a lot of things before but never fulfilled. I really want to know if there will be some kind of "fiscalization" by Paizo to those deadlines.

Thanks!

Personally I'd say New Order (http://newordereditora.com.br) is currently the best for the job. It has amazing quality, very good customer service and a fair distribution network (I find their books in many places where I wouldn't expect it.)

I don't think it's fair to blame Devir for the current state of their game lines, specially now.

Due to some internal issues I don't really understand, Devir Brasil had little control over what they could release for a few years. It all changed last year, when company control returned to the team that really cares about RPG. They released their first RPG in a long time, A Bandeira do Elefante e da Arara, and they also announced Pathfinder last year. It's getting released this year, even. That's a very small delay window.

I understand completely how people could be worried and reticent about having Pathfinder 2nd Edition arrive at Brazil through Devir. But I know they are passionate about their work, I know they are very good at distribution and I know they are trying their hard to get things back on track.

If it were up to me, I'd give them a chance, specially because if they don't get another chance, Starfinder is getting delayed.

Sorry, man, but they had their chance. It has been at least three years that I am hearing that they'll release this pathfinder book or that pathfinder book. Changeling the Lost got delayed a lot, many nWoD books weren't released. You say that the team that cares about RPGs returned, but that is not really correct, since their founder passed away recently. This new RPG they released could be a political maneuver, since it is quite educational and they have government contracts.

Most important, is that they promise a lot, but never fulfill. Ask anyone who was expecting nWoD books. Although I must give it to you, their distribution network is quite good... For boardgames and comics.

I make Talurak's words my own. Not only they do not respect their customers, but in many cases there are some major translation and quality issues in their books. #foraDevir #notDevir

I am super excited for this! I have no problem whatsoever with buying in english, but here in Brazil there is a great demand for those books and the publisher responsible for it is treating consumers like garbage. In 10 years we have only 2 published books. So please, dear Paizo, review other publishers in Brazil for Pathfinder Second Edition. I know it is still very early, but I believe this should be made public soon. PLEASE, do not allow Devir Brasil to have the publishing rights for the second edition, for if that is the case, Brazil won't have Pathfinder Second Edition in the way it deserves! #ForaDevir
