I have an additional question that kinda piggybacks off of the original question, because I'm new to the class. It says at 8th level that the two tendrils sprout, and can attack, but does that mean you lose your regular base attacks as well, and can only manipulate the tendrils, or do they act while you use your normal attacks as well? I know it seems like a silly question, but the reason I thought I would ask is because you end up losing the independent slam attacks of your phantom as well as her ability to deliver touch spells and her mobility, so that significantly dampens your combined attack capabilities, so it makes sense that you would still be able to use your arms to do something as well as use your tendrils, but that might not be the way it was intended by the writers. Any clarification would be immensely appreciated.
