The Gunslinger gains the Gunslinger Weapon Mastery feature at 5th level, which states: “You gain access to the critical specialization effects for firearms and crossbows.”

However, the melee part of a combination weapon has its own weapon group. For example, the melee part of a gun sword belongs to the Sword group, and the melee part of a hammer gun belongs to the Hammer group.

Does this mean that even though a Gunslinger can use the proficiency of the ranged part when making attacks with the melee part of a combination weapon (as described in Slinger's Precision), they still cannot apply the melee part’s critical specialization effect when they critically hit with a melee Strike?

I also hope this is just a typo on AoN, because I consider “Silence the Profane” to be the most core and distinctive feat of the Vindicator (even though it originally belonged to the Avenger). If I can't pick this feat, I’d lose about 80% of the fun of playing a Vindicator.

Anyway, thank you very much to everyone who replied to my question!

Hello everyone,

I noticed that on Archives of Nethys, this archetype feat is marked with the “Limited” icon. Is this correct?

I haven’t been able to find any mention of this feat being limited in the FAQ or any existing errata, which left me a bit confused.

This is my first time posting here, so I apologize if I’ve made any mistakes in etiquette. Thank you!
