We're starting a new game at level 5, I've already got my regular character done, but I had an idea for making a useless but useful wizard. Wizard:
Race - Dwarf
Class - Wizard (Universalist atm) Stats:
Skills:
Feats:
Spells:
House Rule - Give up ability bonus for two feats, cannot do it twice in a row. Currently no equipment, but will likely craft a couple of wands. Saves are low vs his spells, but ah well. Thoughts? Suggestions?
With the alternate racial traits, it is now possible to build a real tinker gnome! Required Racial Traits

Couldn't find a similar post, but it'ss possible that my search-fu is weak, especially since I'm working off of three hours of sleep. I was fiddling around with character ideas and thought of an Alchemist / Barbarian (Brutal Pugilist). Basically an Alchemist who got arrested and tossed into a gladiatorial arena, becoming a Pit Fighter. Upon earning his release or surviving the time of his sentence (3 or 4 levels of Barbarian later), he is again able to use his alchemist training. Which brings me to the following: Rage provides a +4 morale bonus to a barbarian's STR and CON. A Mutagen can provide a +4 alchemical bonus to the STR, DEX, or CON ability scores for 10 minutes per alchemist level The Bull's Strength extract and the Bear's Endurance extract provide a grants a +4 enhancement bonus to STR and a +4 enhancement bonus to CON respectively. Now, as they all provide a different type of bonus, I'm assuming that they stack for a possible total of +12 to STR or CON. Yes or no?
Trying this again as the board seems to have eaten my first attempt from the other day. Not sure where the idea for this spell came from, but I find it rather amusing. Weapon of Awww:
School Transmutation
Level Sorcerer/Wizard 3 Casting Time 1 standard action Components V, S, M (a small piece of felt) Range Short (25' + 5' / 2 levels) Target One weapon Duration 1 rd / level Saving Throw Yes (Fort); Spell Resistance Yes Upon a failed saving throw the weapon targeted by the spell becomes a plushie version of itself, doing non-lethal damage. If it has properties such as shocking, flaming, or frost the weapon will have attached streamers the same color as the effect. The weapon gains a bonus to the saving throw for ever actual +1. (A +1 shocking weapon would only gain a +1 to the saving throw.) This spell does not work on natural weapons.
Edited for saving throw clarification.
This spell popped into my head while I was listening to Dr Demento. Not sure how the spell relates to the song that was playing, since the song was Wierd Al's "Another One Rides the Bus" . LOL Weapon of Awwww: Level Wizard 3
School Transmutation Casting Time 1 Standard Action Components V, S, M (a piece of soft felt) Range Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Target One weapon Duration 1 rd / level Saving Throw See text Spell Resistance yes You cause a weapon to become a plushie version of itself that does non-lethal damage when used. Special properties such as flaming do non-lethal damage as well. A Will save will negate the effect on wielded objects. Unattended objects get no saving throw.
Calvin and new friend Hobbes had many adventures over the next 5 years, saving their village from various threats. They gained allies, one of whom was his neighbor, Susie Derkins, an aspiring cleric. They also gained enemies, such as the brutish half-orc Moe. Calvin:

Idly thinking while at lunch, (I can hear my DM screaming in pain now), haven't seen firearms in 3.5 or the new Pathfinder RPG book, so thought I would toss something out for consumption. (Or to cause consumption.) Quote:
It has some benefits and drawbacks. Thoughts? |
