For the 0.01% of people who play games where GMs allow use of sacred geometry...

Sacred geometry points out that applying quicken mitigates the increase in casting cost. So does quicken spell.

Which of the following is accurate?

A. Quicken spell applies, mitigating the additional casting time from itself and all other applied metamagic feats.

B. Quicken spell applies, mitigating the additional casting time from itself and all other applied metamagic feats, and also functioning as quicken spell (i.e. allowing spell to be cast as swift).

Wording in question: "...applying the Quicken Spell metamagic effect negates the increased casting time but still contributes to the modified spell's effective spell level."

Wording from quicken: "You can apply the effects of this feat to a spell cast spontaneously, so long as it has a casting time that is not more than 1 full-round action, without increasing the spell's casting time."

If A is the case, does that also imply that a spontaneous caster using quicken just gets +4 caster level for...nothing?
