The android just stares, motionless, at the law enforcement officer until someone hands him his rifle back, and then has to actually indicate he should move. --- "Excellent. I accept your offer."

As the authorities begin closing in, 12 pulls the battery from his laser rifle, then slings it over his back, pulling the sling tighter than worn when battle ready. Then, unless stopped, he returns to his rifle case and stows the weapon properly, without replacing the battery.
Ignoring the foam, other than acknowledging the cover it provides EVERYONE, 12 moves up to the next set of crates, remembering there was opposition on the other side. But he has to find them to deal with them.

12 shifts over to the outer edge of the crates. "I'll throw some covering fire downrange so you should be able to close, then I will go back to shooting specific targets."
"I've not got a close weapon. I'll have to stop on this side of the crates and engage them, so they may not notice you."
"Closer? Sure. Come with me." 12 double moves up to the next instance of good cover, crouching behind the crates.
"They're shooting civilians. So much for hoping they would keep the fight to themselves." The android pulls his own Azimuth rifle out of the case, and takes a quick shot at Dockside King #8, who happens to be within the first range increment.
It appears he manages to shoot the crate the target is hiding behind.
Twelve moves into a defensive position (double move). "Start with cover if you can. They may not force us into their fight."
"Your evaluation need not be accurate. We should be able to avoid their conflict with some caution. With their current headings, we should be able to slip around behind the group on the right."
"Uh, Sir? You need to return to your seat to prepare for landing." The Lashunta stewardess sees herself reflected in the cold, expressionless eyes of the unadorned blue android which was alone on the "wrong" side of the shuttle, looking not at the station, but out into the black emptiness of space. It turns away from the window and looks at the Lashunta, the look being the only acknowledgement it provides her before complying. "Transferring to the station ends what could have been a productive expedition." When the shuttle lands, the android waits for the other passengers to clear before getting up and moving to retrieve the checked luggage. No effort has been made to disguise the rifle case as anything else. And of course it has no other luggage. None.
