About Professor Purus
Halbin Purus, known as Prof. Purus, has been a teacher in the town of Sand Point for over 50 years. "Do not let ignorance keep you from seeing the world for what it is, beautiful." is a line he tells his students year after year. He has become well known in Sand Point but doesn't have much in the way of friends because he keeps to himself mostly. Praying at the Cathedral to Desna or teaching during the day and wondering the streets at night watching the parts of town where the guards don't look.
Not his proudest point in life but before he became a man of knowledge Prof. Purus was a bounty hunter. Hunting slavers and slave traders and putting them down so that those in chains could be free. He isn't proud of killing men but the loss of an evil life and the freedom of a dozen good keeps him from staying up all night.
