Rage 6/6

We are. Our GM is just extremely busy right now. The play he's the assistant director for opens tonight. I think that was mentioned a few posts up.

I'd guess we'll probably hear from him by sunday or monday.

Rage 6/6

That's why the 4th level stat boost went into Int. Eventually I may even shell out for a headband of int for the bird.

Eternian animals (especially the ones who followed the cast around) were portrayed as unnaturally smart, complete with human-like emotions and reactions.

In this game I figure the Handle Animal checks are going to be more like short arguments about who's in charge than trigger-commands for learned behaviors.

Rage 6/6

Thanks. I'll have that updated on Sunday.

Rage 6/6

The prince hid his face behind his hand as his boyhood tutor yet again bumbled his way through what should have been a simple official ceremony. He was only barely succeeding at not laughing.

Prince Dare was a big man. Taller than his adopted father had been, and even broader of shoulder than Captain Fisto, Dare was a powerful-looking specimen. His hair was long and dark and wild, held back by a leather cord with a sapphire centered on his forehead. The battle-harness he wore armored him on his left arm, from a thick leather shoulder pauldron with handle-like bar attached to it, all the way down to an impressive studded metal gauntlet. The jeweled handle of a large sword stood over his bare right shoulder.

His waist was wrapped in a split-layer leather fauld that hung nearly to his knees just above a pair of thick and heavy greaves and boots.

On the window sill next to him sat an enormous blue and white eagle that wore a sort of harness that criss-crossed on it's chest and bore a sapphire center similar to Dare's headband.

Rage 6/6

VK, can we get a gameplay thread to dot, and possibly an intro?

Rage 6/6

Oh, and I need to design my animal friend.

Are you going with the original series talking animals, or the new series non-talky but still expressive ones?

Rage 6/6

I think I'm done. All I'm missing is my equipment and one trait.

Rage 6/6

Reporting in.

Sunday is my free-time day. I'll have him done then.

Can we gaet the gameplay thread open to dot so we can attach this game to our campaigns tab?

Still here. I think I'll have Dare completely done on Sunday.

Yup. Campaign info tab. Organize with spoilers.

If you're avian themed and magicy, you might consider taking the example name used earlier, "Angela",

Other possibilities that might work as slight variations on your themes: Skylark, Wing-Witch, Arc-Anna (especially if you're lighting themed), or Val-Kyrie.

Or something like that.

I've removed/reduced healing (among other normally common effects) without much incident in a number of games. There's ways of making it work.

Having heroes just heal faster out of combat seems like a pretty good solution.

That might be a good house rule for Mythic characters.

"At the end of combat, 1/2 of all damage taken is converted to Non-Lethal damage." or something like that. If I remember right, they do something similar in Mutants and Masterminds to simulate comic book style recovery from combat fatigue.

I'm having a lot of difficulty coming up with a mechanical build for Dare. I wanted to go with the Bodyguard feats, but that seems a little out of place for a prince though.

I could just go the bruiser route, but I think we already have a strong guy on the team. Not quite sure what to do.
