About Potipher Perkins

Character Summary

Potipher Perkins is an elderly woman who's sick and tired of being disturbed while she tries to finish her quilt. When she was young, people had respect for their elders.

Personality:
Mrs. Perkins think there's only two types of personalities - people who know how to behave themselves in public, and damn fools.

Theme Song: First Arabesque by Claude Debussy. It should be played on the harp, because that newfangled pianoforte machine is a passing fad.

Character Inspiration: The Fruitcake Lady from the Tonight Show, mid-1990s.

Internal Monologue:
Kids these days! Revolution this, revolution that! Everyone's rushing around like a chicken with their heads cut off. That's the problem with kids these days.

I hear some tart named Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova is on the throne of Irrisen. Who the abyss cares? The Jadwiga do, I suppose. As if there's nothing else to worry about. Does it even matter who owns this patch of barren, ice-covered land and who owns that patch?

Let them all go to Abyss.

I've always wanted to see the ocean - maybe visit my son in Magnimar, or maybe someplace tropical, like Absalom. But more than anything, just anyplace without these young whippersnappers interrupting my quilting all the damn time! Like that group of nimrods from the Pathfinder Society, especially that Quinoline Silicate (2358909-2001), barging into my house without knocking. I'm going to give them a piece of my mind!

Default Advanced Boon: none

Advanced Boons:
none

Chronicle Boons:
Big Game Hunter: Whenever you roll a critical failure on a check to Track an animal, you can check a box next to this boon to get a failure instead. [ ][ ][ ]

Fiery Companion: You have befriended a unique animal augmented by alchemical experiments. If you have an animal companion, you can check the box that precedes this boon between adventures to replace it with the fiery leopard. You may also transfer this boon to one of your other characters who has an animal companion, immediately checking the box on this boon and replacing that character’s existing companion with the fiery leopard; keep a copy of this Chronicle with that character. [ ]

Noala’s Lessons: You gain access to either the ranger feat Relentless Stalker [ ] or the skill feat Wilderness Spotter [ ]. Once you have taken one of these feats, check the box next to this boon and cross the other one out.

Touched by the Storm: When this boon is slotted, you gain cold resistance 1 and electricity resistance 1.

Traveler of the Spirit Road: Whenever you would critically fail a check to Hide, Sneak, Sense Direction, or Track while in a forested area, you may check a box next to this boon as a free action to treat that check as a failure instead. [ ] [ ] [ ]

Default Hireling: Guide

AcP Boons:
Hireling: You have recruited a non-combat hireling who can assist you with a certain set of skill checks. This ally performs the selected skills with a total modifier equal to 2 + your level, and they are considered trained in the skills. You must expend any actions and be in range to perform the action yourself, and any consequences of these actions affect you (such as falling when using Athletics to Climb). The hireling doesn’t have or use its own ability modifiers and can never benefit from item bonuses, status bonuses, or fortune effects. Abilities that grant you a circumstance bonus do not grant that circumstance bonus to your hireling even though you are using your action to attempt the check. You cannot aid your own hireling. You cannot use the hirelings skills except recall knowledge in combat, and the hireling cannot be affected by, or affect combat, and cannot be harmed unless willfully endangered, and has no effect other than performing the selected skill checks. When you purchase this boon, you select one skill as well as one Lore skill. The hireling can perform only these skills checks.

Hireling, Expert: When you gain this boon, select one Hireling boon you possess. The selected ally’s proficiency for their selected skills improves to expert, and their modifier to skill checks increases to 4 + your level.

Hirelings:
Expert Hireling (8 AcP): Guide (Athletics, Irrisen Lore)

Magical Mentor (0 AcP): While working with less experienced Pathfinder allies, you provide key spellcasting insights that augment your colleagues’ magic. Any PCs benefiting from a Level Bump and whose levels are lower than yours can prepare one additional spell of their highest-level spell slot or cast one additional spell of their highest-level spell slot. When casting spells of a magical tradition that is the same as the tradition you use for spellcasting, the affected PC also increases the Level Bump’s modifier to spell DCs to 2.
