Yes, those where what I was looking through. Where can I find a +1 bastard sword in there?

In the Evil game, Piter was looking to buy a simple +1 sword or +1 shield, but I couldn't find those simple items. Do they exist? Are they in any book somewhere?

Piter plays a short song, his Lyssa's Locating Lyric (indicates direction of nearest corpse, 1 mana, 1 round), and looks to see if the nearest is in the tomb. He also looks over the room to see if there is anything in it besides the tomb.

"Do you know how far Shadow Haven is? I have no idea, myself," Piter says to Cakkarak. "As for our alternate selves, I place little faith in those thoughts. Certainly those others of us have helped us greatly, but I do not give any credence to the theory that they were really us. Yes, I have remembered things I shouldn't, but that may just be powerful magicks placed here by those others. Even if they are us, in some oblique way, I refuse to believe my fate is the same as that of my era-hopping doppleganger." Piter is interrupted by the appearance of a stone door, whose lock easily opens under the desk key's persuasion. He steps back to see what the door is a part of.

Bardic Knowledge: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16 To Cakkarak's comment, he responds, "Why, is there some reason to be staying here? I agree with Loki, we should be moving on. I have no desire to stay among skeletons any longer than I have to. But after we go to Shadow Haven and purchase supplies, we need to start making a plan to do what we need to do. Maybe now, and here, are the best place and time to discuss those?"

Listen: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10 Piter wonders what Loki and Cakkarak are doing, as he didn't hear anything. But seeing both of them rush upstairs, Piter figures he'd better go too. He doesn't want to miss anything important.

"Nalun, you will find many settlements on Norrath teeming with Humans. You may choose to stay among your own kind, or here on the moon, but if you wish to travel extensively, you won't be able to get away from us completely," he smiles a big smile. As he settles in and writes songs into his songbook, he appears content. New songs, new powers, including one which lasts for hours after being sung; this was what he had been hoping for, actually.

Piter is happy to find so many new songs for his spellbook. Now he just needs a way to write them into his songbook. "Whoever left these scrolls ought to have left materials for writing them into books. I'm going to go check the office." With that, he heads to the office and starts to look around. While there, he also checks the desk and walls for secret doors/compartments. Search: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

Piter enters the circle with a little bit of trepidation, then his head nods to the side and he shrugs, heading for the chest. He circles it, inspecting it for anything untoward, looking at its size and style, estimating any dangers from it. "It would be easier if you had the key..." He gets down upon one knee and again takes out his lockpicking gear. Peering into the lock, he tries to unlock it. Pick Lock: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

"Is the circle safe?" Piter asks Loki and Nalun. "If so, this seems like a good place to hole up and do some reading. Any knowledge gained from those books, at least, any books that can be read, will be valuable. Also, we should check the study for secret doors and compartments.."

Piter searches the manor house, looking for keys or anything valuable or interesting. Coming to the final room with a locked door, he gets down on one knee an pulls out his toolkit, looking first and then trying to open it. Search for traps: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

For the evil game: Can someone explain to me what we are doing here? Why are we here and what are we trying to accomplish? I've gone back over the old posts, and perhaps I'm just thick, but I can't figure it out. Maybe I missed a post way, way back that explains it all? A short summary would be fine.

Piter cannot believe his eyes when he sees the underground town. He hears Loki's suggestion, and shrugs. "Okay by me." he replies. He looks at the large stone house and tries to see how many skeletons were on it or in it right now.

Piter, enters the portal, and watches carefully as it closes. The one vampire had been in mist form, so Piter assumes the insect things could not touch him. He eyes the very air, looking and sniffing for a corrupt presence. "The one vampire was in mist form. Keep cautious, as it may have followed us in here. If anyone has a way to sense it, now would be the time." He looks questioningly at the cleric. He too, shows interest in the tracks. After entering the portal, he looks at them, and tries to determine what they are, and if they also entered through the portal. Knowledge: Monster Lore (Undead): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Piter is more than a little surprised by the turn of events. He keeps a wary eye on the deadly and swarm, and make sure he's far enough away from them to be safe. Piter laughs a slightly insane laugh as he learns that the body before him is a much later version of himself. "Frame of reference?
