I hope life gives you a break while you're coping with your loss. My sympathies.

Excellent news, this gets me excited again!

Well, ugh.
I hope you all will have a great time, but I will continue to keep tabs on this thread. Just in case.

Background for Pikrak:

Background:

Pikrak grew up and was trained in Alkenstar, but later moved to Nex and served as a knight there, always ready to fight the undead armies of Geb. His knightly order was dedicated to protecting the arcane knowledge which can be used for good purposes, while at the same time eradicating forbidden occult tomes which could bring nothing but evil into the world. In Nex, even knightly orders dabble in the arcane arts, and Pikrak has eventually grew accustomed to the presence of dweomers, and learned to detect and recognize them.
When it has become known that some of Geb's agents were spotted in Ustalav in search of some kind of powerful necromantic grimoires, Pikrak was tasked by his order to visit the remote Ustalavian province of Barovia and gather whatever information he can, and if he's lucky, destroy the agents and their prized tomes. He was authorized to join forces with any locals who would agree to assist him in this task.

I also gave him an axe musket to be able to wade into melee without changing weapons, but Hero Lab doesn't seem to support such weapons properly. If that's alright, I'm going to calculate the melee attack manually. Or I can drop the idea and just give him a usual musket and a backup melee weapon if you prefer.

Submitting Pikrak Ancrym, NG Human Cavalier (Luring Cavalier, Musketeer) of the Order of the Tome.

He travelled to the remote regions of Ustalav to seek out and destroy tomes of forbidden necromantic knowledge which were rumored to be located there.

Pikrak turns around and steps up to the second enemy, attempting to make use of flanking with Rulgha.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14

Pikrak steps closer to the wall and takes a swing at the nearest enemy.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 5) + 9 = 16

"Stay behind me and try to flank the bandits."
Pikrak will lead the attack, getting up the stairs and charging at an enemy preferably across the room, to leave the others space for flanking.
Init: 1d20 ⇒ 18

"Can anyone surprise them with a spell or a trap? If not, I'm going in."

"An enemy of my enemy is my friend. Welcome, and let's finish this. You will tell us what you know about the Onslaught back at the camp."
Pikrak stands guard at the stairs, ready to get up when his companions are, and wary of those who might be heading downwards.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Seeing as I can't even roll less than 11 on damage, every hit is basically a kill :) The Furious Focus feat seems a bit overpowered for level 1. But I think it should even out by level 3 or so.

As the bolt flies past Pikrak, he turns his attention to the woman, runs up to her and swings his sword.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (6, 3) + 9 = 18

Intimidate? Erm, okay.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Despite having killed two men in two blows, Pikrak is not very scary.

"I repeat: Surrender and be granted fair trial!"
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Pikrak will wait for a reaction before resuming the attack. Obviously he will not attack one who surrenders.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 3) + 9 = 14

oops
Seeing the chained figure, Pikrak yells "You've had your chance, vile torturers, now DIE!" as he runs towards the enemy behind the table.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 4) + 9 = 17

"We were given an order to capture the tower and it must be done at all costs. Here's hoping we don't suffer any more casualties."
Pikrak stands in the doorway, preparing to charge.
"The Onslaught hereby claims this tower. Your comrades are dead. Surrender now if you want to live!"

Oops, I thought Vayden got the last of'em!
Having dispatched the second opponent, Pikrak charges at the remaining enemy.
Attack:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage:2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 6) + 9 = 16

Pikrak's spirits have lifted once his enemy has been vanquished. With a battlecry "For the Onslaught!" he charged at the archer standing near the entrance.
Charge at the white-top enemy, AC15 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 5) + 9 = 19

The wound from the small sword stung, and Pikrak felt anger rising inside him. He had to admit he was put off by the fact that women served on the side of the Society. He gritted his teeth and forced himself to concentrate on the Society's emblem on his enemies' uniform. They serve evil, and evil shall be vanquished. Raising his sword once more, he renewed the assault.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 2) + 9 = 13
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Crit damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (1, 5) + 9 = 15

Sorry for the delay. Oh, and Red color for me please, if available. White is next on the list.

Seeing as the enemy meets them prepared, Pikrak wasted no time. Rising his sword high up, he charged at the woman who "greeted" them with a battlecry.
Charge, Power Attack, AC15 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Damage 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 4) + 9 = 17

Pikrak was accustomed to the harsh discipline and wasn't one to question orders. As he ran northward, listening to the rhythm of gear jumping up and down in the backpack, he kept wondering: "Who gave every sergeant in the world the idea that calling people maggots raises their morale?"

Thanks! Presenting a Paladin for your consideration.

Submitting Pikrak Ancrym, a human Inquisitor (Preacher) of Gozreh, native to the Shackles.

Appearance:

Pikrak is a bearded man with bronze skin and fair hair. His eyes are a mixed blue-green tint. He prefers to leave his hands, chest and face open to the winds, as long as it doesn't reduce his defences in combat.

Personality:

Pikrak is a man of few words and few, but decisive actions. He says and does what he feels is natural, paying little attention to the etiquette or eloquency. He may hesitate when put into unfamiliar obstacles, but once he comes to a decision, he carries it out with relentless fervor. He is quite self-righteous and usually does not let the intentions of others interfere with his actions.

Background:

Pikrak was native to the Shackles and came from a family of the priest of Gozreh. His father wanted him to be a priest as well, but while Pikrak has wholeheartedly supported Gozreh's doctrine, he found little patience to study the religious texts and engage in theological disputes, preferring a more practical take on the faith. Eventually he refused to bind himself to the church with the formal ties, calling himself 'Gozreh's freelancer'. When he learned that the natives of Sagrava venerate a twisted, crossbred form of Gozreh and Desna, he was suddenly engulfed by the religious zeal and decided that he must travel to the Mwangi and elighten the locals on the true meaning of Gozreh's faith. To that end, he has secured himself a passage on board of the Jenivere.
