Phyton nods at Gaarm's discovery. "Yes, the bell and wire are components of an alarm spell." Frowning, he says. "I wonder, who was the alarm supposed to notify?"
"I smell the beeswax as well. And look there, deep scratches on the wooden rail." He says, pointing.
Moving toward the windows, Phyton calls out. "Look here! The workshop’s windows have clearly not been opened for many years, as evidenced by the build-up of grime around them. However, the center window, though now shut, has no such grime! Odd."

Phyton nods in introduction of the professor and shakes his head sadly at the mention of Lorrimor. Nodding to the books, he asks. "Are these tomes of subjects that are you specialty?"
When the professor mentions aid, Phyton shrugs and glances at hiss companions. "I find myself willing to help, though I cannot speak for my companions. What is this effigy? Do you know why the beast would have stolen the effigy? What manner is the Beast?" He starts to add more questions, but he checks himself, allowing the Proffesor to answer first.

Phyton follows along quietly, absorbed in examining the city. His head turns this way and that as he peers around, frequently falling behind, then rushing to catch up.
At the inn, Phyton continues to stay in the background, though he nods when Gaarm mentions finding the Professor.

Phyton raises an eyebrow at the mention of the beast and a trial.
As the party heads off to find lodging, he mutters to himself. "More often that not, a "beast" being brought to "trial" is more often a sign of tragic ignorance. I wonder which this is....."

Phyton is quiet during the night and the long journey to Lepidstadt. Upon seeing the carnival, Phyton stand to the side and a step behind Sir Thomas, and shakes his head in consolation.
Phyton leads the party over the river and through the woods to the bog. Peering at the ground he walks in ever increasing circles. "I've lost the trail. Anybody see signs of her passing? Did we lose it earlier?"

Phyton continues to peers around for tracks.

"It's getting dark. I can see just fine in the dark, but we should come up with a plan. Spread out and comb the woods? I have a spell that will let us keep in contact over short distances, but I'm not sure that everyone won't end up lost. "

Phyton glances at his companions, chuckling to himself that not a single member of the group is wise to woodcraft. Shrugging, he says. "I read a book about tracks, once in my youth."

Phyton nods in agreement with Gaarm. "I have heard of the Crooked Kin, though have never attended one of their shows."
As the group approaches, Phyton can't help but overhear the crying and the arguments. Moving to the knot of disagreeing adults, Phyton raises a hand in greeting. "Greetings! We are a small group of adventurers passing through. Is someone missing? Do you need some assistance?"

After Phyton identifies the two unknown items, a wry smile spreads across his face, soon followed by him throwing his head back and laughing heartily. Once the bout of laughter passes, and he catches his breath, Phyton stands and wipes the tears from his eyes.
Finding everyone else, Phyton explains the use of the items.
Sighing, he asks. "Is everyone ready to travel to Lepidstadt?"

Phyton picks up and examines the badge, but his initial inspection reveals little.

After a day of rest, Phyton tries examining once more, his curiosity piqued. "Ah! It acts as magic modifying device, allowing the magic to better effect ghosts and such...."

I've got a splitting headache!:
Phyton's knees nearly buckle from the pain in his head. Trying to focus, he stawith what seems to be working, punishing the undead with positive energy.

Why did I ever agree to this?:
Phyton waves hia hand at Gaarm. "The chains!" He yells, pointing to the chain slowly killing their companion. "Attack the chains! You weapon can't hurt the dwarf! Chop the chains off, just don't chop his head!"
Phyton continues to call of the destructive nature of Nethys to burn the undead with positive energy.

Phyton watches the ritual/ghost magic with interest. As the Splatter Man is sucked into the badge, he nods, clearly impressed. "Do you anything about the two that might help us? Weaknesses, that sort of thing?"

Huh, I always thought it was if you took damage over 5, 5 went to the link(er), but rereading the entry, it says wounded, so that would work. Having two Life Oracles, I'll have to remember that.

Too busy reveling in his destroying the rat, Phyton doesn't even notice the burning ray until it strikes him fully in the chest. With a strangled cry, he falls to the ground unconscious.
