Parker busies himself with helping to prepare the drinks before settling himself on the couch. First thing we need to do in my opinion is reconvene with Seil. It's possible he may have insight into what is going on as well. Second, I would suggest we find out as much information about this place as we can using The Computer. He says it with the reverence one might reserve for the holy grail or something like that, distant, mysterious, and powerful. We need to know more about what is going on in order to cause as much mayhem as possible with the ritual. Thankfully, Parker says with a grin I'm pretty good at mayhem.
Awesome. Thanks for the quick response. Still getting the hang of the system. I hope what they say about cats and water isn't true in Zoe's case. Parker thinks to himself as he summons his will and stomps his foot, sending a wave of force at the two of them. 3 shifts force maneuver 4d3 - 8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 1) - 8 + 3 = 2 The extra fallout I will direct into the environment.
No problem. You are playing Zoe well and I can totally see that being in character with a predator. Parker will still not want to risk hitting you though. Ryuko? I know how rotes work but how do I make stuff up on the fly? Like for instance if I wanted to add fire damage to Zoe's claws or bite could I do that? Parker waits frustrated, not wanting to hit his friend, and tries to think of some way to help without hitting her.
Parker will wait until Zoe clears before aiming his switchblade at the creature and releasing a torrent of fiery energy at the creature. INARDESCO to blast when I have a clear shot. 4d3 - 8 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 2) - 8 + 4 = 3 Lore to see if it has any particular weaknesses? 4d3 - 8 + 5 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 1) - 8 + 5 = 3
I'm more than happy to do out own thing also. Parker will finish his drink as well before saying I think that sounds an excellent idea, although I am less enthused about a taxi. I will order a car. Give me one moment. Parker goes over to the payphone and attempting not to blow it up, calls for a car service. He then returns to Zoe and Thomas. Ok should be here in a few minutes. Zoe we can bring you back to your place and then head over.
As soon as Ryuko gets back I can tell you about your tattoo Zoe. Also Parker is good to go for whatever. He has no plans currently. Well if this dragon is as powerful as you say...maybe it wasn't such a hot idea to mouth off to him and throw his offer of employment in his face. Parker says with more than a little mirth. But then again, I don't really think I could work for a man that thinks highly of my father. When Zoe mentions central park, Whenever it is I will be more than happy to accompany you Zoe, if you would like?
Parker pays the cab and gives him a generous tip. Heading into the bar after Zoe, he scans the room quickly to see if there are any threats before moving on to join her. Alertness 4d3 - 8 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 1) - 8 + 1 = -2 and he doesn't see the column in the middle of the floor and walks right into it lol.
Parker is about to begin speaking but when Zoe mentions Sally immediately lapses into a brooding silence. It is obvious the subject pains him greatly. After a few moments he will say The fey are extremely difficult to pin down as they have such a range of creatures and types within. I think the only thing that can be said about them with certainty is that they are unpredictable.
No problem Zoe. I'm happy to help. Parker looks on with a grin as she tears into the meat. I sure wish I had your metabolism. If I didn't run every day I feel like I'd become a balloon in short order. Parker leans casually against the wall while they wait for the cab, the noise of the city a gently background music to the crisp night air. I could definitely use a cold one.
Jimmy G wrote: Jimmy looks at Parker for a long moment, and says, "Yeah, let's get outta here." When they have moved on and Big Slim is out of earshot, he says, "How the hell did we get here? I remember the party... and some kind of fight... then... Central Park? Why are we in the park?" Parker looks at Jimmy as if unsure what to say, he doesn't want to set him off again. Well...we got here because you had some sort of fit and then jumped out of the limo like you were some sort of action hero. Then you took off running and Zoe and I chased after you because we didn't know what was wrong.
Oh I wasn't going to kill them. Maim them a little bit maybe, but not kill them...unless they force me to it. He replies in a similar whisper. So boys, what's it gonna be? You going to continue with this charade or are you going to let us pass and keep all your limbs? Either way decide quick my friends and I have somewhere to be.
Parker looks at the two boys and thinks You really picked the wrong people to shake down boys. Parker looks over the two boys calmly and with complete confidence in his own abilities. He is not trying to intimidate them, more as if they are beneath his notice. You two really don't want to do this and if either of you even touches the lady, you will not get back the limb you used. Parker says after a moment of staring at them.
Parker grins at Zoe's apologies and subsequent rambling. No problem Zoe. It was worth it even before that cretin interrupted us. Parker continues walking down the street after Jimmy, Zoe with him. I'm fine in terms of the attack. Mostly just confused as to why they would come after me now in the middle of that party. It makes no sense.
Parker looks a bit annoyed, Nasty bloodsucker got blood on my jacket. He says as he tries to wipe it off. Flicking the button on his switchblade he puts that back into the hidden pocket sewn into his coat. Well Zoe it looks like we are going to have to finish our dance another time. He says with a wink at her. I agree and think that leaving would be best. Shall we?
Ok I updated my rotes with visuals and the shifts as I could figure them out. Please take a look and tell me what I need to add as far as shifts go. Parker is getting sick of these vamps and wants to end this. He summons up his will and hurls another bar of bluish-white fire at the other vamp. INARDESCO, B!+!&ES! Discipline 4d3 - 8 + 4 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 1) - 8 + 4 = 5
Parker does not take kindly to this guy pawing at Zoe. He knows that she can take care of herself but he was brought up in the old world style where you just don't do things like that. Hey buddy, the lady and I were dancing. How about you go sleep it off? Parker will step between the two if necessary.
Parker lets himself be pulled onto the floor, he is an above average dancer from the many parties he attended with his father. I am not sure of the authorities, I try and stay away from them as much as possible. As for the war, he shrugs his shoulders, There is always someone fighting someone, but this war has been very trying on the council from what I hear. He continues to whirl around the floor never staying in one place long enough for the people around to hear more than a few words before moving on. A girl hmm? That is interesting. He doesn't seem like the kind of fellow to let his arm candy walk around without showing her off unless there is some ulterior motive. Speaking of arm candy he says with a wink at you. You are looking pretty lovely yourself there Zoe. What are you doing after the party?
An absolute pleasure Madam. Parker says when introduced to Zoe's aunty. As far as how I got invited I have no idea, someone slipped the invitation under my door at 3 in the morning. Most mysterious, but I didn't have anything better to do tonight. Jimmy's here you say, I haven't seen him in a little while. Oh and you'll be happy to know I stuck my foot in my mouth with that Crassus Lentus fellow, he tried to recruit me for some such nonsense and I told him to take a hike. Didn't know his background though if you take my meaning. Me and my big mouth.
Accept Compel Yes well any friend of my fathers...is not a friend of mine. I hope you'll forgive me if I don't accept your kind request. If you don't forgive me I don't really care. Tell me, does the football league know about your little enhancements? Never mind don't tell me. Parker assumes a somewhat bored expression and says, Now if you don't mind, your kind of ruining my scotch. Parker will continue looking at his chin, careful not to meet his, or anyone elses, eyes while he waits for the football player's response.
