Rotes::

Single Target fire attack (INARDESCO!): This effect takes the form of a bluish white bar of heat and flame. When it strikes it spreads in a roiling disk of flame upon the target. 4 Shifts to damage. Weapon:4 attack vs. single target using Discipline to aim. Cannot be cast without Switchblade.

Area fire attack (COMBUSTIO): This extremely potent effect causes sheets of blue flame to roll forth throughout the area in rapid succession. 2 Shifts to cover whole zone, 2 shifts to damage. Weapon:2 attack to whole zone. No targeting roll necessary. Cannot be cast without Switchblade.

Fire effect block (CONCUSTODIO): This effect takes the form of a disk of purple and blue energy that is so hot it burns away to ashes anything that strikes it. 2 shifts to block power, 1 to duration. 2 Block for 2 Rounds. No Foci Necessary.

Earth speed increase effect (PROPERO): This effect causes a slight reversal of gravity towards whatever direction I am moving in, propelling me forward with blinding speed. (Really cool description BTW.) 3 Shifts to place Aspect: Propero on self. No Foci Necessary.

Fire blinding effect (FULMEN): This effect causes a flash of blinding light to appear before the eyes of the target. 3 shifts to place Aspect: Flash-Blinded on target. Discipline to target vs. enemies Discipline (this is my thought, up to you what defends with as long as it makes sense). No Foci Necessary.

Background:
- Rebellious Youth (His father was a strict taskmaster. He wanted to groom his son for power in the White Council. He resented the upbringing and his fathers harsh rule over him. In response, he rebelled whenever he could. Sneaking out, hanging around with "those mortals" as his father used to refer to his non-magical friends in disdain.)

Rising Conflict:
- Only the Good Die Young (During his magical training, he made friends with a young apprentice of one of his fathers associates. They were really close. Unbeknownst to him his fathers friend had been torturing his apprentice. In response to a particularly vicious beating, his friend lashed out and accidentally killed his master. He ran to my character seeking help, my character was trying to smuggle him out when my father caught us and sent my friend to be executed straight away. I never forgave my father for that and he will not let me speak of "the traitor")

First Story:
- Dead Man's Curve (A year or two after the incident with his friend, my character started trying to get more information on the white council, blaming them, along with my father for his friends unjust killing. During this time I had traveled to a few different places seeking out those like myself who were malcontent with White Council rule. While this was going on I had met with a mortal who was looking into the supernatural in the area. I agreed to help if she would give me any information she turned up. She called me one night, very upset and scared and asked me to meet her on a hill overlooking the city. I agreed and went to meet her. I arrived first and waited for a while before seeing headlights coming up the road followed by another pair of headlights. They were driving erratically and I was able to make out that the front car belonged to my mortal friend. I was too far away to do anything and watched as her car was run off the road into the gorge below. The coroner said she was killed instantly, but I distinctly remember hearing a faint scream before the car exploded. I never saw the other car again and never found out what she wanted to tell me.)
