What if it took five hero points to level up?

Measure encounters by total points earned so far?

I think the knowledges would be more interesting as a package of feats rather than skills.

To recall information is more of a saving throw, and it should be more of a set of proactive features instead. Education takes time to build up, so that would be better represented in the way feats are made.

For more general knowledge skill testing, you could make Study as a separate, or maybe Craft subset, skill.

Hi there, considering the playtest, I want to offer up something that Pathfinder 2.0 could do:

Get rid of Attributes.

I call it Beams Era because that is the way the acronyms line up. The flavor is also transferrable between settings.

You get Five Saving Throws:
Bravado, Endurance, Agility, Mettle (ie Reflexive-Willpower), and Strength;

Plus, three inspiration-point pools that change over the course of the game:
Education, Reputation, and Ambition (ie Designs for one's future and general motivation).

A high saving throw gives some advantage to rolls, and high points in the inspirations can unlock different role-playing paths in different ways, including by spending them.

You get skills by background or class, plus WITS:
Wounds, Injuries, Traumas, and Stamina.

For alignments, there are Good, Vain, and Evil; Aloof is unaligned.

"Vain" sets some boundaries for what counts as "neutral" while giving a clearer scope with which to try new roleplaying opportunities.

Law, Balance, and Chaos are cosmic forces rather than morals, and so deal principally with existence rather than attitude. No one has to worry about a nine-point system anymore this way.

Have fun with these rulese!
