"Well we ran into and dispatched a werewolf and their minions, killed some bandits, and some creature kept following us in the woods. Thats about it, anything new around here?"


"Hmm, they must prefer the woods. We will have to remember to try again once we are back in those woods."

Palom and Porom repeat what Sergeant Schultz says but in every language they know and go a little further offering food, drink, and rest if they need it. (draconic, deep speech, dwarven)


"We need to try and get a handle on what is going on out here guys, or at least hurry up and survey this area. Anything weird anything at all, and we will check it out. So no matter how small you think it is we will do a thorough search."


"Lets continue surveying boys, and keep your eyes peeled for whatever is playing tricks on us. Anything in these woods that would do that Roderick?"


"My eyes are not the best at night, I will take the first watch. Roderick you are next, then Ram, then Sarge, then Porom."


"Ouch, what are you all playing at? Watch the backswing on the twigs."

Palom nods at Porom who quickly and relatively painlessly finishes off Kressle.

"Its a kindness really the villagers would have hung her. Let bury the dead and get back to our mission to survey the area."

"Everyone surround Kressle. So there little missy, what do you have to tell us about your bandits, and any information on a certain ring stolen from the fort?"

Palom moves to the front and directs Sarge to swing at the bloodied bandit, but ends up getting in the way and fouling the strike.


Rod get that bandit and make sure you aim this time.

Hey look up there is some kind of platform up there.


"Well lets follow it and see where it goes, everyone mount up and follow me."

"Ok on thinking this through we are going to head west, then north back to town. We should start close to town and work our way out before we get too far out. That should give us at least somewhat open retreat if we need it."


"Most likely, but we may get a cut of it. We will mark it down on the map, I will mark it down as the Ram-Rod Lode in memory of you figuring out what it is and Ram absolutely demolishing that wolf. Lets finish surveying for the day and then head south. We really need to find those bandits. Rod skin those wolves and we will see what we acn get for them later."


Palom looks over at his brother and nods. "As far as we are concerned you did not act against us and you had opportunity to do so, and you have not acted to protect yourself. Go with our blessing of peace. So what is the secret? Any idea on what direction the dragon is, or know how to fight it?"


"I am sorry, did we misjudge the situation? We thought the wolves were surely going to eat you. We were recently attacked by these very same wolves. I hope we did not error in our judgement."
