Hello, all~ We're currently looking to re-build our gaming group in the Pullman area of Washington State. Most of our group has graduated and moved on, leaving two long-term gamers here in the area. We were a 3.0/3.5 focused group that gave 4th Ed a long try, but it wasn't for us. We want to start a bi-weekly Pathfinder game (occasionally mixed in with others, we've played M&M, SWSE, WH40K, various board/card games...). So if you're interested, respond to this message and I'll get back to you! Thanks!
I'm a huge fan of both Superman and Captain Marvel! I seem to recall during Grant Morrison's run on JLA that Marvel two-punched Supes along with a line like (I got lucky...and he's vulnerable to magic). I think Superman would win any fight in the end, but both Captain Marvel (and Thor during their JLA/Avengers dust-up) should put up a hell of a fight.
Thanks for the warm welcome! I actually sold off my entire 4E collection not too long ago and pulled my 3E/3.5 out of storage to put them back on the shelf. I think 4th has some fun ideas, but don't see myself playing it again except maybe as a one-shot here or there. Now if I could just get my group to adventure in Golarion, I'd be all set!
Still new on the boards, but I'll give it a go... The first Matrix movie bored me nearly to death. Took me at least 6 different times to get all the way through it (it had just been released to cable at the time) and wasn't impressed when I finally sat all the way through. Haven't seen either sequel, as they're supposedly worse than the first film. Couldn't stand the "Iron Age" of comics, either. Way too many wack-jobs with guns, pointy sharp things, healing factors, belt pouches, leather jackets, and mysterious pasts with cavalier attitudes towards killing.
Hello, all! This just looked like the right place to introduce myself, so here goes. I've been gaming since around '82 when a friend showed me his AD&D 1E books (PH, DMG, MM). Went and bought the Basic D&D box set (with the Erol Otus cover) almost immediately, then got the AD&D books as time went on. Played throughout the 80's (mostly D&D and super-hero rpg's), then went through the 90's not playing anything, but still collecting game books as a fun read (mostly super-hero, but others as well). Got the itch to start up again right before 3E came out, helped found a great group, and we played right up into the 4E era. A few months back, the group realized we just weren't that into 4E, and since I (and the DM) had been getting a lot of Pathfinder stuff, we decided to switch, and finally played our first Pathfinder session a couple of weeks ago. It was great! Rekindled some "gaming flame" in us. We now play a mix (Pathfinder, Rogue Trader, board games, I'll be starting an M&M 3E game sometime soon), but just wanted to say how fantastic it was to finally play Pathfinder! |
