Once Tomnus and the rest of the men are on the wagon Tomnus can't contain his curiosity anymore So Ozaziel why do you think you were chosen as leader? I mean, no offense intended by this question, but what qualifications do you have to lead any of us? Don't get me wrong I'm going to follow orders, I'm just curious as to what they saw in you as I haven't been around you to adequately judge for my self if your worthy or not.

Honestly i am shocked as ou are by their decision. Mayhaps it was my connection with the swordlords and their expectations of me. Personally, I thought they would have chosen Radu.

He gives Thom a polite nod and a bow for his kind words of agreement. Mayhaps the Lords will still bless this journey in companionship He boards with the rest of companions away from the haughty necromancer.

Radu Stanislav wrote:

Radu mutters softly, so that his words do not carry beyond those standing beside him, Be extra cautious with your words, gentlemen. Spies carried word swiftly to the north, for the Castellan to have been brought here before the expeditions could depart. The Castellan's words were written in advance, and he did not by accident mention treason and the punishment of enemies of the thone, wherever they might arise, as part of our task. He looks to Ozaziel and his Aldori sword, In the north, they have no love for that Aldori sword, you bear, Ozaziel. Honor is a shining coin that cannot be stolen, and so base men loathe its luster and ever seek to see it tarnished.

Aye, and it will be honor that carries it through this pawn unto the symbol of this sword. I do expect the utmost diligence and respect from the lot of you glaring at the Necromancer. Time to strive forth and put an end to this Stag Lords tyranny. Also, it is not only me that will be held accountable Necromancer, it is all of us. So for that we need to learn we can trust one another. The pawn extends his hand towards the necromancer For the good of the kingdom

Thom O'Brian wrote:
"If yeh want, m'lord, ah can take care of th' 'orse when we're restin'." Thom lets out a genuine smile - it is not pretty, his teeth mismatched and the lines of his face only stretching the scar to even worse proportion - but there is a joy in his eyes. "Ashe can attest tha' ah know m' 'orses."

I can help with the horses as you wish, though I am no where as near as good as you Thom

Oz approaches and takesnotice of the other group. His studded leather is form fitting and his sword his worn proudly at his side. He takes note of the other groups and approaches his own. Taking a place at the side of Radu.

He scrutinized the others. detect evil on the other groups especially the red haired woman

Oz smiles at the last words of Arumil before his departure. He goes to sleep with a smile on his face for in chess just as in life it is pawns that can become kings and knights.

Nah, at this point its more of a character theological debate.

The worldwound only hints at the evil that is out there yet by forming shining examples we can stop the corruption. War is a part of life, a warrior is one who chooses to embrace that life so that others may live without fear that their lives may be stolen and placed in a jar or forced out for a foul source to control their bodies. I thank thee for the compliment. There can be none greater than a holy warrior.

At Tomnus, The gods exist, this I agree with the death elf. Many have been proven and elevated to divinity. Aroden, Iomadae, Irori, Cayden are just a few fine examples. Who knows maybe you will be the next to pass the starstone test.

Arumil Amaim wrote:

Arumil looks over at Oz.

"So by your statement no one should ever be revived. Rarely does anyone bring back the dead without something to be gained and it cost greatly to begin with. What do you know of Necromancy. Did you know it can heal wounds, safe guard a soul, preserve the dead, weaken an enemy rather then kill, or even that it can allow you to create another body. Sorry but it is your view that leads so many to kill without thought. It is sowing seeds of chaos to dismiss anything without knowledge and fact rather then personal taste or prejudice. Necromancy is no more vile then those who use it. You know little of what you speak so you understand little on what you speak of."

He never understood those holier then thou types. Give him facts based on knowledge and proof, he could respect that. Blind devotion without free will and thought was just asking for disaster.

It heals at the cost of another. For that I would rather die. It is most foul because of the corruption it leaves on the soul. This I can see far better than you, any of you. None of you are cursed to see the sins that people bear on their souls save for people of my order and those with greater understandings of magics. For all your years yes you may have killed tresspassers but you have not faced evil. I fear the first time you do and fear takes you. Sure it can weaken your enemies but it also weakens your grip on what is true and pure. Allow me to create another body?!? I would die before I would steal someones body. What happens to their souls when their bodies are taken. Do you know this?

I do not claim to be champion but I refuse to let the corruption take place around me. Know this I will bring you back from the brink of death but I would never thrust the judgement to bring a tainted soul back either. I think this issue better be dealth with when the situation arises.

Here this now. All that would use bodies and spirits of the dead who have traveled to the boneyard for there own means would call me enemy. And would meet a swift end at the tip of my blade. I will not mingle with such profane individuals who think they are above the laws of man and gods. Necromancy is not misunderstood it is a vile undertaking by individuals with profane souls. . Oz quiets down and grabs his holy symbols. This is perhaps thelargeat number of words he has spoke. Since he had awakened under that tree years ago.

It's not so much turning a blind eye as it is figuring out how society works. He was struck with amnesia in a battle and thinks himself divine. He will strive to be a force of good but he has to understand what good is.

And the paladin

Aftr reclaiming his sword and wearing it proudly at his side he unshrathes it to clean it and sharpen it while the others finish handling their affairs. After Thom boards Oz will step on board takin a seat as close to the door as possible. He flashes a half smile and speaks Well it looks like we have our work cut out for us in more ways than one. . He glances towards Tomnus at the end of his sentence. He rests his hand on the hilt of the dueling blade for the return trip.

Tomnus wrote:
At the mention of dispensing justice Tomnus smiles. How do you want us to deal with those that are fugitives from the Throne's justice and those that we see as potential threats? ]

Upon his first question Oz will tap Tomnus on the shoulder and mime a stabbing action.

How are action points used?

And when these Stolen Lands are reclaimed and the Banditry is dealt with and all his made safe. What then? Are we to stay out there and make way for civilization or are we going to be recalled to our respective houses and sent on our way or be commissioned for other enterprises?

Aren't the Stolen Lands highly disputed territory between the River Kingdoms and Brevoy?

I think if he waits any longer a pee pee dance might be in order

Oz stands in the room almost statuesque, whether this is from impatience or years of training (possibly both) he doesn't even know. His position remains unmoved even with the big man starring down at him.

Ozaziel gets up and goes to the meeting room as instructed. Upon noticing everyone eyeing the book collection he moves on past them and takes a seat ready for the attendance with his would be employers.

Ozaziel remains mostly quiet. Taking food as it is presented to him and eating it almost as fast. It would seem he is largely used to eating in a hurry where utensils are optional.

While still in the cart he turns to Radu and asksNo offense meant sir but what is a prophet doing in Brevoy?

At the assembly he hands over his weapons with care and seems almost reluctant to give up his sword. Upon handing it over he looks at the gentleman in charge of caring for the weapons and says Assume you know what this is and the care and respect it deserves

In the meeting hall he waits to sit until all the traveling companions have gathered and then only sits when instructed too.

At Radu, I cannot say that one of the Empyreal Lords is better than the other they all guide actions and have their domains where they are better able to watch over you. But to answer your question, I am a future swordlord and I was breed for battle so I find it is he who forsoke his own kind to be with the angels and fight a war against his formal brethren to watch over me the most. . He takes a minute to gaze outside getting lost amongst the rhythm of the carriage and the hypnotic pattern of the trees passion by. By your station and your holy symbol am I to assume that you are a cleric of Abadar?

he looks at his companions Radu first
Intelligence roll to recognize the manners of a prophet of kalistrade1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

Then at the elf A mage you say. What kind of magics do you weave?

Then at the big man you are perhaps the biggest mystery where do your talents lie?

Then at tomnus, what has happened at port pearl friend?
diplomacy1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

At the introductions I suppose since I know not my origins I am he of lowest station and should therefor be introduced last

Theories? Nay, I have none. Perhaps it would be best to investigate what men of such unique talents each different from the rest would have to offer a potential employer. For example, myself. I am a man if faith and am somewhat skilled inthe art of the blade. He takes a moment to look at each of you and awaits answers if only to alleviate the uncomfortable silence.

I know no one in the party is evil but he would still cast detect evil to make sure there is no one around that is a person of vile intent

Port Pearl, nay, I have no connection with it. He says towards Arumiel

When Radu, boards he greets him with a hand shake and, Oz, a swordlord paige. Follower of the Empyreal Lords.

Good day, gentlemen. I assume this is the carriage that was fortold.

He approaches the carriage and steps in looking at the others Oz will respectfully bow and offer a hand Well met

Ozaziel finishes his morning prayers, greeting the dawn as a warrior should. The boy approaches and he rises from his kneeled position placing his sword back in its scabbard with care.

After examining the letter a single sound is uttered from him Hmph

He thinks, finally the swordlords have decided this page well enough to prove himself. I wonder what they will have me do and who these companions are?

He shakes the thoughts from his head and tosses the boy a silver piece.

After the child leaves, Ozaziel, kisses his holy symbol of the Empyreal Lords and tucks it beneath his armor, makes his way to the training yards and continues his practice to truly master the art of the aldori dueling sword.

Look forward to gaming with you all.

I just really want to play a pally Aldori swordsman

I would like to do the kingdom building but understand if you were unable to do it with the group. My hat is still in the ring.

Here is Ozaziel,... I can up the 5 pts for the human or if allowed play a 5 pt deficit aasmiar. Either way is fine. Also the extra money for him would be spent on a horse.
The human option would be preferred, to keep the field simple.

If chosen I would use the human option then and redo the beginning of the backstorys begining and have him on a quest seeking an exploration into the divinity that exists in all.

Here is Ozaziel, he was originally created for a 20 pt buy kingmaker. He was built as an Aasimar but there is a Human version below the back story. Just substitute feel from the heavens for abandonment. He is an aspiring aldori dueling sword master paladin of the empyreal lords. Let me know if you need more info on him.

I can up the 5 pts for the human or if allowed play a 5 pt deficit aasmiar. Either way is fine. Also the extra money for him would be spent on a horse.

Here is the Paladin of the Empyreal Lords both Aasimar and Human version. The only change to the background would be that instead of plummetting to the earth he was found there left for dead.
