Male Human Rogue 1 / Conjurer 3 / Mythic Trickster 2
GM Tordek wrote: Owen, you are welcome to ask two more questions about the Wraith if you wish. Everyone can post at will before the Wraith strikes again. 1. What are its weaknesses, and is there anything that Owen could possibly do to damage it? (He's got a magic dagger, plus the following spells left: prestidigitation, mage armor, disguise self, expeditious retreat.) 2. Is there any way to subdue a wraith without resorting to combat?

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28 Owen's eyes narrow as he draws his dagger, its jeweled pommel glinting wickedly. He hisses a warning to Savendir. "Wraith. Normal weapons won't touch it. And don't let it touch you." Initiative: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15
Male Human Rogue 1 / Conjurer 3 / Mythic Trickster 2
Owen's skin is still pale and clammy from exhaustion, but his interest is piqued by the presence of magical auras. As Savendir exposits to the group, Owen fidgets with his dagger, his eyes darting furtively around the room. Casts detect magic. Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

Savendir Inaris wrote: "If we are well enough, we should continue. We must push our advantage and seek out our quarry before the trail runs cold." Owen nods, saying nothing. Though his breathing is as slow and measured as always, he appears pale and drained. Though he'd never dare admit it, Owen pretty much blew his wad during the last fight. He's got one use of shift, one combat spell, and four uses of Mythic Power left for the day.

Owen blinks out of existence, then reappears further up the stairs, taking a step back and loosing an arrow from his battered shortbow. Shift to F1, 5-foot step to E1, attacks wererat at I2 (who is no longer engaged in melee since Savendir moved to G1). 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 F*%#.

Savendir Inaris wrote: "I have silver arrows, if anyone can use them," Savendir volunteers. "They also seem to burn readily enough." Owen gestures vaguely to Savendir. "Elf. Arrows." Owen can teleport closer to Savendir if need be. He'd be shooting into melee, but I doubt Owen would be the type to really care all that much.

GM Tordek wrote: "As you wish, if this is where you want to die so be it. But not the dwarf or the pretty lady, soon you will be one of us. Ha ha ha ha ha!" Owen gives the creature a blank look. "Does not matter. Death a construct of time." He gestures faintly toward the remaining wererats. "If lycanthropes, then vulnerable to silver. Preferably deal with this sooner rather than later."

Savendir Inaris wrote: For the record, I have silver arrows. I just failed my knowledge check miserably. If someone knows about silver and shares that information with the party, Savendir would be happy to share the wealth. Owen blinks back into existence, slashing at the wererat closest to him, then moves with blinding speed toward the second wererat, aiming a savage strike toward its throat. Attacks the wererat at E3 (standard action), takes a 5-foot step to E4, then spends one use of mythic power to make a surprise strike versus the wererat at F4 (swift action), dealing sneak attack damage to both. Owen then withdraws to C4 (move action). Attack vs. E3 (+1 dagger): 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 3 = 15 Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + (1) + 3 = 5 Attack (surprise strike) vs. F4 (+1 dagger): 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 3 = 21 Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + (5) + 3 = 11
Male Human Rogue 1 / Conjurer 3 / Mythic Trickster 2
Owen aims a lightning-fast strike at his foe with his jeweled dagger, muttering something under his breath. Attacks the flanked wererat at I4. Sneak Attack (+1 dagger): 1d20 + 2 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 3 = 11; Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + (6) + 2 = 10 Owen spends 1 use of mythic power to use Surge on his attack roll: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Male Human Rogue 1 / Conjurer 3 / Mythic Trickster 2
Owen, looking somewhat annoyed, makes a small motion with his hands, as if pocketing a small object. Somehow managing to leap several steps in a split second, he aims a precision strike at one of the rats. Shifts to J4, then sneak attacks the now-flanked rat at I4. Sneak attack (+1 dagger): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13; Damage: 1d4 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + (4) + 2 = 8

He doesn't seem to relish agreeing with Owen about anything. Owen nods slightly, and disappears into the shadows ahead of the group. Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

I, for one, did not use any spells. Seconded. Also, Owen didn't use much in the way of spells, but miraculously gained two extra spells slots (nice catch, GM Tordek)...

Owen lets out a brief, quiet laugh, which quickly develops into a hacking cough. He glances awkwardly from person to person with bloodshot eyes, but says nothing.

Owen waits several minutes before moving forward, slowly and apprehensively. He moves to within a few feet of the oracle, glances behind him at the rest of the group, and whispers to her. Cerpera: "I must speak privately. Unsure of companions' motivations. Need to take note of any missing variables. I am able to assist you, though, not sure why I should. Power is desired, but non-essential, as is money."
He pauses, absently fingering the knots in his long coil of rope. He shifts his glance from Cerpera, to the water, to the walls, seemingly lost in thought. After a long while, he begins to whisper again, an uncomfortable edge to his voice. "I... I do not want to die. None of this matters, but still I want to see behind the veil. I need to bear witness. Nothing makes sense anymore..." Another pause. An uncharacteristically panicked look briefly flashes across Owen's face. "What do I need to do?"
