Appearance: Oswald is broad-shouldered and stands at 6'4" with a weighty athletic build akin to a rugby player. His skin is a beautifully warm dark tan, certainly a gift from his father's Australian indigenous roots. A curly black mop of hair takes up most of the top half of his face (narrowly hiding the broad mono-brow), while a scraggly unkempt beard takes care of the bottom half. Despite what most people would deem an imposing stature, Ozzie's button nose and constant smile is disarming and very telling of his warm, caring personality.

Nightmare Form

The Story So Far...:

Oswald's life was picturesque. His father Macallah emigrated from Australia for whatever reason and his mother, Gillian, was born and raised in the cornfields of middle America. Things seemed good-- his father had a successful practice as Freedom City's #1 Hypnotherapist (selected by the biggest heroes, and villains, the city had to offer), while his mother ran a surprisingly popular odds-and-ends shop for the kitschy and campy, while Oswald had a promising high school sports career. Baseball, Football, Lacrosse, Wrestling, Water Polo, he tried them all and excelled. As a high school freshman, Ozzie had college scouts in the wait. Mac used to joke that Oswald was living the American dream that he'd always wished for. Ozzie never saw it that way. He felt like a latchkey kid, having to raise himself while his parents took care of their respective businesses. His athletic endeavors were times he highly treasured because it allowed him to stop worrying and let himself loose. He loved sports. That is until his father ran off.

It stung. The hurt, the disappointment, the lack of answers, not knowing what went wrong. Life turned bleak, and Ozzie began to decline in his school work and sports. He barely passed high school and enrolled in Freedom City Community College at the behest of his mother. Flunking out of college, Oswald took to the collegiate party life. Beer Pong, Flip Cup, Chugging Contests, anything to busy his body while he obliterated his mind with intoxicants. He began to crash on couches, living with friends and scraping up money wherever he could to "score some beers for the boys" as he put it. It wasn't the American Dream his father had in mind for him, but he was certain "running away with some broad" wasn't a part of his father's American Dream either.

As his drinking and smoking habits worsened, Oswald's dreams became increasingly more disturbing. "Screams from the void", he described them as, almost as if someone was calling out to him. The dreams became hallucinations. Seeing things in corners, hearing the mangled voices echoing from the darkest corners of his mind. Life became a blur, and he imbibed more to get away from it all. After a particularly harmful binge, the young man found himself alone in an alley, lost as he stumbled through the night to get to his friend's couch. Voices, the ones he heard in his dreams, kept calling to him like a sea of screaming children. Through the cacophony of voices came a familiar one, though it had been years since he'd last heard it. In the dark corners of that alley, Oswald saw a pained shadow break through the cracks of brick. The scream came out loud and but not so clear. The experience sobered him instantly. His father's voice, his father's visage..... bell witch? get rich? filled ditch? It made no sense to him, but it was enough to push him in a better direction. He thought his father ran out on him, but now he started to suspect something more... fantastic.. than that.

Addiction: When assuming the Nightmare Form, Oz hungers for fear, chaos and disorder. The form revels in negative emotions as i f it were feeding on it.
Curse Sworn: Unbeknownst to him, Oz is one in a long line of Dream Guardians. His father completely overlooked him and had not considered that Oz could've been chosen.
Disability: Oz suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Assuming the Nightmare Form helps alieve those troubles, yet the form comes with problems of it's own.
Monstrous: The Nightmare Form is a shadowy, shifting form. Unsettling, many people who gaze upon the form find themselves uneasy in the stomach,
Obsession: Oz is obsessed with his father's disappearance. He knows his father was a bit of a space-case, but he refuses to believe that he ran off with someone, or is dead.
