Interesting. Thanks guys. I have never DMed a PF module so I never realized that they included 3rd party stuff in their official prints. That's actually kind of cool and shows yet again why Paizo is a great company (they show support for other companies).

Since I don't own Dead Man's Chest, I don't know the background of a Breath Taker. I'm just curious as to what kind of undead they are similar to so that I could better describe to PCs what Whalebone Pilk is exactly.

Can someone give me an idea here? I don't want to introduce "Breath Takers" in my game exactly, so I don't want to refer to him as one. What could I refer Whalebone Pike as? Are Breath Takers more similar to Ghouls? Or are they like Wights or Wraiths? Or do they closer resemble something else entirely?

The stat block for Whalebone Pilk lists him as a Male breath taker fighter medium undead (aquatic).

I'm curious, what type of undead creature is he exactly? Is he a unique undead specific to the adventure? Or is a "Breath Taker" the type of creature he is?

I can't find any official PF source describing what a Breath Taker is. The stat block mentions (Dead Man's Chest 79). Is this reference to the 3rd party sourcebook? If so, I find it really odd that Paizo is using material from a 3rd party book. I don't own that book, so I can't even check if this is a reference for a Breath Taker.

Anyone have any clue about this?

Darn. I have no idea where to even begin if I wanted to house rule my own magical beast animal companions. I wonder how the designers determined how to get started with the few that they did for the monstrous mount feat?

The Monstrous Mount feat from the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Combat (page 14) lists several Magical Beasts as possible Animal Companions.

I'm interested in allowing players to select from many other type of Magical Beasts and other Animals to use as Animal Companions. I can't find any guidelines within the rules for making a new Animal Companion.

So I'm not really sure how the "Worg" for instance was broken down in order to allow such a Magical Beast to be selected as an Animal Companion once the Monstrous Mount feat was selected.

Are there any guidelines for creating new animal companion starting statistics for a basic animal? What about guidelines for creating new starting stats for a Magical Beast (if using the Monstrous Mount feat)?

We're looking for a couple of players to join a low level Planescape 3.5 game. We're using core classes from Pathfinder that I tweaked to be used with 3.5 rules. But you are free to stick with 3.5 core classes or any non-core 3.5 classes.

I have a dedicated game room so that we can use Maptool on an LCD TV that lies flat on its back as a battlemat. This also allows us to use our miniatures with it.

We try to play every other week on a Friday night around 6pm. We prefer someone who will be dedicated to making most sessions.

Powergamers, rules lawyers, min/maxers, & argumentative players will not fit in with our play style. We're an easy going bunch that just wants to keep things low-key, roleplay some characters, kill stuff, and take their loot.

We would prefer someone willing to join in with the roleplaying. You don't need any experience at all to play with us. We'll be glad to help you out any way we can.

We're all in our 30's and 40's and are more concerned about you fitting in than we are with your age. It's a family home, so no drugs are allowed (drinking is fine if you can handle yer liquor). Smoking tobacco is ok outside.

If interested, shoot me an email at oryan1977 at yahoo.com. If you want to know more about the game, our playstyle, or the players, feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks!
