Yes but flurry cannot be combined with other attacks.

Its not combined with its made in addition too. So after the Flurry you Rend as two of more of your claw attacks hit..

But that is just my take

I Think a Troll monk sounds like a fine idea. Make str>wis>con>dex>int and cha.

Make sure to Pick qigong archtype and pummeling style. I agree that flurring with the claws could be seen as giving acess to rend. But normally flurring dissallows any attack but the flurry ones so in my game that would get a no.
I like the concept it made me Think of Tiger in Kung fu panda secrets of the furious five. But i must say that i dont Think the rules tells you to let folks in the party have different WBL. And if they say that they are either wrong ir Bad and shouldent be used.

Rend would take place after the flurry as you are hitting with more then two claws strikes.

So using the idea provided here about monster orphanages and sanctuaries I wanted to make a Troll Character.

Now I am debating on which Troll to use. The default Troll or the Cave Troll

Now the class I want to use is Monk, to show that he was raised differently and brought up in a well structured environment. Though LG will likely not work. So using the Adopted and Enlightened Warrior traits I can make him NG

I was thinking of using Feral Combat Training to make my Claws work into my flurry, as I think it allows me to use my rend if I land two of my claw attacks during a flurry.

With CR buy off I gain a class level at level 3 and again at level 6 which would drop my CR down to either CR 2 or 3 depending on which troll to pick, but at level 9 I could drop it down to CR 2. Dropping Wealth By Level by an additional 2 levels should reduce that to a CR 1 and down by 2 should get me to Class Levels so long as I remain 4 levels of wealth behind the party I think.

Which Troll best suits a Monk Cr 2/Monk 18 is still pretty good overall. With Regen 3 or 5 I don't have to worry too much. But I would like advice to somehow gain a higher resistance to Fire, Acid is less likely to come up.

Are you having less wealth than the rest of the party? That Sound like a very Strange meta gamey rule to me. Is that from a Paizo book?

PEople say to adjust CRs you judge if they are proper wealth by level. If your party is 5 level 5s and all they have is 3000 GP each to spend their CR would be lower then what it normally would be if all five had the 10,500 WB is the idea.

And Yes Regeneration 5 is powerful I know this.

If the thread is just going to devolve into "Wow thats to OP and OP is OP and Does your GM know" then we might as well forget this thread exists.

Obviously I know its a powerful power, yes I know that the general public would be weary at best, but as I said we are using the idea of the monster sanctuary and Orphanage theme so it is known there are 'rehabilitated' creatures such as Orcs, Goblins, and Trolls and the like being raised from babies to adult.

I told you how we were doing the CR and such. The way PF says to play monsters is to use their CR as their level.

That is how Regeneration is handled in PF is all I am saying.

And really do you all think I wouldn't ask my DM about this?

Regeneration in PF is less powerful then 3.5's version.
I could still be dropped to below health and knocked out via lose of health just not killed unless I was hit with fire or acid damage which turns off the regeneration for a round. So beat a troll down and when it passes out at -10 HP hit it with a burning torch and you kill it.

This is a very interesting thread, I am book marking it for later use.

This character is a Half-Orc with the Half-Troll Template applied.
This is a gestalt character.

The Scarred Witch Doctor Witch on one side, and the other side will be a Hunter.

The Animal Familiar will be a Viper, to aid in his bluff that he is just a Half-Orc.

As for the Animal Companion for the Hunter side, I am at a loss, I know the Dinos seem to be the best suited for combat and have all the lovely buffs but I dont know if it fits the theme of the character.

The character's goal is to create a nation of the green, the Orcs, Goblins, Half-Orcs, and so forth into a nation state that can rival the human lands and demand a fair and equal footing in the world. Basically to form a nation to get the adventurers in the world to stop XP grinding their brethren.

But to do that he needs power and experience to do that. So he will be taking part in missions and such that adventurers do to learn what he needs, harden his mind and body, and potentially find recruits for when his climb to power comes.

I am considering A Big Cat, Always wanted my own Battle Cat.

While I know Slumber is the King and High Lord of all Hexes what Hexes would best fit with this style of character, who is clever and wants to imposes hexes in the midst of battle or at least at the onset of.
