Garroth, you did ask Orald and received a less than helpful reply.

Ransaq, as for the conversation mechanics, they work as well as the involved players choose to interpret them. They aren't magic spells, the skill checks are a convenient way to quickly deal with an npc that you meet for a few minutes or for immediate reaction not for long term relationships as will happen among pcs.

Garroth used a roleplaying scene that had ZERO negative impact on your character to show how offended he was by your little joke. Take it to heart and move on.

A reminder ooc as well that this is the GOOD GUYS group. Intentionally alienating another party member for the sake of a petty joke is not good. It is just dumb.

For divvying up treasure, I am fine with it just going to the most needful. After all we are the good guys, if we can't share the loot we are pretty much doomed already.

I would say the two most dangerous people to be out of(or turned against us) the fight should have them. Definitely the wizard as color spray is gross.

I would say Garroth next due to multiple attack actions.

Orald tilts his head to the side as if listening, then winces and starts massaging his forehead. I would recommend not bringing that up, our ancestors seem to be a bit divided on the issue. I would rather not risk their wrath while floating uncontrolled in a weird, nameless, ancient temple. I mean really, who do they expect to worship here if they don't even put up a sign? It's no wonder it is abandoned.

Orald quickly grabs the banner he had set aside and allows himself to be lifted in to the air, table still held I his other hand.

Why can't these things ever just say "Go to the tavern down the street, drink a pint and tumble the prettiest wench in sight." It's always riddles and prayer and such. I don't think these people got out enough.

Seeing that no one else is going to try this accursed door, Orald smashes it in with his axe. Putting in a bit more vehemence than one would expect to be directed at a simple door.

If we don't destroy it, the minions of evil may learn of its powers and use it forge an impenetrable shield against good. Or at least poorly rolling idiots :P

Very true. Create water is an amazingly useful spell if you get creative with it. The cruelest thing I have ever done as a cleric was in Living Greyhawk. My rather arrogant war priest became upset with a certain ghost. He had the metamagic feat that let any spell affect incorporeal beings. Dousing a ghost in water, that will never dry out due to the absence of heat was particularly gratifying. Especially considering he worshiped the goddess of fire and vengeance. :)>

Now that someone had taken the initiative, Orald steps up next to Garroth and prepared himself for another den of horrors. The in part involves a drink from his mead skin which he happily shares with anyone interested. Had a regular of mine that is a priest (Not really a priest) bless this batch.

Well that was a mess. I am for checking on my brews and trying to forget about that place. Might be that we had some problems with crowding at the doorway. If ye can use a long spear or such, it may be good to have it as an option. And something a bit better suited to smashing bones seems wise.

Purchasing, I would like to see about getting the banner enchanted a bit. A continual light that I can turn on or off would be great. Maybe a generic protection from normal wear and grime for flavors sake.

Looking for adventure: We clearly need to get us something to help protect us from the magic's of the unholy if we are to be mixing it up with them on a regular basis. Cloaks of resistance would be the obvious route. Something like a horn of goodness if you are thinking of something a bit more epic.
