The door remains open. Ballar, Zae, Bud, and Niversal turn to Oliva for inspiration.
“Well, let’s be on our way then, if everyone is ready.”
As the group follows her out into the hall she looks left then right, then left again, and says, ”yes, this way, but are we missing someone?”
Just then a tall lanky fellow dressed in the gard of a “hero of old” comes walking down the hall. His mask and long gloves hide his identity, somewhat, but you recognize his gait and know it is Keryth.
Just then, a small blue animal, resembling a cross between a house cat and an elephant, with feathery wings, scuttles between Keryth’s legs, nearly tripping him, and then rushes right up toward Oliva as if it intends to pass her with no regard, intent on some target, but the Dungeon Minion stoops suddenly and scoops the creature up in her arms, ”Well aren’t you adorable,” she says stroking the animal affectionately.
The animal seems to enjoy the attention, but after a moment struggles to be put down.
”Good, you’re all here. Let’s send you on your way.”
After a hurried walk through many corridors, doors, side passages, stairs, both straight and circular, up and then down, you are brought to a room like one you have seen before.
It is a sort of logistical control room, with many dungeon minions sitting at desks or crowded around tables spread with maps and scrying devices of every kind. A large, single mirror is set on one wall, covered, mostly, with a blue drapery (you can see the silvery glass between the curtains which do not come all the way together.
”Through this mirror,” Olivia says, ”Is the world of Alodoa, the mountains of Baravkovia, and the castle you need to reach. The mirror will take you to the village on the lake shore, four miles south of the mountain pass that leads to the castle. You can enter when you are ready.”
