A merchant passed thru a few days back, one of his guards was injured and this horse was sick, so they stopped here for a couple nights. The horse and the sadly now departed guard's gear were payment for our hospitality.

Be aware the archers all carry alchemist fire, the wooden palisade would go up like kindling and surround us all with fire if they manage that quickly enough.

That's probably for the best unless a woman with two axes or a fellow with eye makeup and a rapier shows up with'em, then we're likely in big trouble

They come in and take their loot and their food, I typically put it on a cart for them so they minimize how much they harass people. If the pile is too small they start walking the camp looking around and trying to intimidate folk. Happ keeps his archers in line and they stay back and let the younger dumber ones go first.

I expect if you can take out the archers and drug the rest there's a good chance the others will surrender.

Unfortunately they are smart enough to use shifts. Usually the archers go second shift.

@ Wikiwiki If they didn't keep taking my horses I'd give them what for myself for that. Problem is they carry alchemist fire and there's just too many of them for me to handle.

An elder man in his 50's come out of the blacksmith/smoker walking on a somewhat poorly crafted peg leg. He is using a sheathed greatsword as a cane. Judging by the musculature he was once quite deadly with that.
