Low crouched and grounded, this elder tengu's feathered are checkered salt and pepper, a small wooden shield with writing on it's inside adorns his back, an overlong sword and jingle-staff criss-crosses his back, he sports a utility belt with assorted maps aggressively annotated with multicolor inks, diagrams and templates overlaying the actual terrains depicted.
Every so often, he suddenly pops squat, sitting abruptly on the ground, and unravelling one or more parchments, makes additional tracings and insignia, talking in a quiet voice to himself, until nodding his head in satisfaction, he stuffs it back into his effects and rises with a little hop and step.

Host Spirit
Aerial Cloak w/ Fall Gently (↺) Usage: worn cloak
This blue cloak is surprisingly light for its length and seems to catch wind bursts in its tail, flying out behind the wearer while cushioning falls and easing jumps. The sides of the cloak are slightly weighted, making it easy to grab ahold of when it fills with air. This cloak grants you a +1 item bonus to Athletics checks to Leap and a +1 item bonus to Acrobatics checks to Balance or Maneuver in Flight.
Activate—Fall Gently [↺] (concentrate, air); Frequency once per day; Trigger You're falling; Effect The cloak catches the air and you grab onto its edges, utilizing the draft to guide you to safety. Treat your fall as 30 feet shorter and glide to a space of your choice at the bottom of your fall, which must be within 20 feet of where you would've landed.
Circle of Spirits
(◆, concentrate)
Frequency: Once per round
With a thought, word, or gesture, you reach your mind out to another spirit. Choose another apparition from among those you've attuned to; it becomes your primary apparition, replacing your current one.
Host Spirit
(exploration, necromancy, occult)
Frequency: once per day; Effect: You attempt one skill check to perform an exploration activity, even if it normally requires you to be trained to do so. You're trained in the skill just long enough to make that single check (to a maximum of 10 minutes). Whether or not the check succeeds, in the next 24 hours you must perform a minor favor to appease the spirit who aided you, determined by the GM (usually something sensation related, such as tasting a certain food, listening to a specific song, or smoking a pipe). You can't Host Spirit again until you've performed the favor. If you haven't completed it after 24 hours, you're fatigued until the obligation is fulfilled.
Special Note: For organized play purposes, the spirit doesn't ask for things that are beyond your means or that would be disruptive to the flow of the adventure (for example, they don't require you to provide a gourmet meal while your group is on the road). Since organized play games typically do not track the costs of every meal that characters eat, you do not need to pay additional money to procure sensory experiences for the spirits.
