Dusk is approaching as you make your way through the city of Oppara. The city is alive and busy as everyone makes preparations for the Grand Day of Exaltation. Despite this usually festive holiday, there is another hum of activity, one that you are all too aware of. In secret corridors, politicians and aristocrats are meeting and plotting to increase their wealth while the common folk of Taldor suffer. Princess Eutropia and her allies, who have grown increasingly vocal over the last few years, have called for a vote to end primogeniture, prompting many passionate arguments in the Senate and in the streets.

All of this goes through your mind as you make your way to the address written at the bottom of the letter you received. You may have been to this particular cafe before, but given it's nondescript appearance and it's location off the main thoroughfare, it's possible you forgot about it. As you approach, you show the seal on the letter to the guard at the door, who beckons you in without a word. The cafe is empty, and long, golden beams of the setting sun dance through the cafe’s smoky interior, highlighting breads, cheeses, and wine bottles behind the only counter. Some tables are grouped together with seven seats around them. Others begin to come in and take their seats as well, though you do not see Lady Martella Lotheed, your host.

As you think back upon the events that led you here, you glance again at the letter you hold in your hand. It is your invitation to this cafe, and includes a specific task that Lady Lotheed wishes you to accomplish at the Exaltation Gala.

Olnaris:
I have need of discrediting those who would back primogeniture. Currently, such laws prevent me from recieving the inheritance that is rightfully mine. If you are able to sway their opinions on the matter, that is all well and good, but at the very least, find some way to create a scandal around them lower their level of influence.

Larin:
There are many rivals of mine and those who think like me that would stop or control the vote to end primogeniture. I wish for you to track their movements during the Gala, most notably, of course, track High Strategos Maxillar Pythareus. Should their tactics and methods change during the course of the evening, or should they pursue unusual behavior, I shall need to be updated immediately.

Tabar:
As you are well aware, the efforts that it has taken to bring about the end of primogeniture have required that one is able to traverse a great web of influence, and that no line can be left untended for long. To that end, require you to impress upon Baron Nicolaus Okerra of certain debts he owes me. The details of these are not important. Simply give a proper reminder, and I'm sure his memory will come back to him.

Izalco:
Indulge me, if you will, in some petty revenge. My half-brothers, while still unswayed by my efforts, are deserving of some retribution. They have contributed a large, 150-year-old bottle of Ligos red wine from the family holdings. Enclosed in this package is a syringe with a putrefying agent...perfectly harmless, though it will render the wine undrinkable. I must warn you, however, that the wine must not be stolen and all signs of tampering must be concealed. With luck, most will assume the wine is of terrible quality, or better yet, a forgery.

Kyralina:
Earl Calhadion Vernisant, as you know, has recently come under scrutiny due to public revelations regarding his more unsavory activities. The Earl has also recently donated some historical artifacts to the Arcade of Triumphs. If they were to disappear before they are unveiled, he and his allies would face further embarrassment. Thankfully, these artifacts aren't secured, as no one expects them to be stolen. Of the items - a buckler, a dagger, a fan, a journal, and a spyglass - I only require three to go missing. What happens to them after that is entirely up to you.

Cecilia:
Duke Centimus and Countess Abrielle Pace have eluded me for quite some time. Unlike the more blustery windbags of the Senate, they have kept their opinions to themselves. While I am confident that the vote to end primogeniture will be completed successfully, it would ease my position to have greater assurance. Engage each of them separately during the Gala after they are accustomed to your presence, and determine their positions, as well as their reasons behind them.

After each request was the promise of a payment of 150 gold pieces for the completion of the task assigned to you, as well as an assurance of the extraordinary access and prestige granted by attending the Exaltation Gala. More information is promised upon meeting at the cafe you now sit in with your companions.

On the table is a small, hand sized mechanical cricket that buzzes quietly, and a note leaning up against it. The handwriting you recognize as Lady Lotheed's, and the note reads as follows: I have been delayed by some pressing matters. Please order what you will, converse, and I will be along shortly. You notice that a guard wearing Lady Lotheed's crest has taken up a position behind the counter with a cloth over one arm, ready to serve.

I'm going to leave this here for a moment for everyone to take time to introduce themselves via rp as you wish, and then move things along tomorrow.

Welcome revolutionaries!

I hope to play through all of the War for the Crown modules, but for now my focus is Crownfall. I'm excited to be here, and I'm excited that you've all accepted my invitation to begin this adventure.

You can help me out a lot if you can update your character's profile to look like the following:

<class>/<level>| HP <current>/<max> | AC <normal>/<touch>/flat-footed> | F+<fort>/R+<reflex>/W+<will> | Init+<initbonus> | Perc+<perceptionbonus> | Sen. Mot. <Sense Motive Bonus>

I'm also open to other formats if anyone has any suggestions.

Regarding posting: I can check posts regularly throughout the day, but I will plan on making one post per weekday, and at least one post per weekend. I'm not concerned about time zones, as we're probably on different time zones no matter what we do, so it may just take some time getting used to when everyone will be posting regularly.

If you ever have any suggestions for something I as a GM can do to improve, please let me know.

Lastly, lets make this fun. I'm excited for this, and I hope you are too!

As you enter the city of Oppara, your mind returns to the instructions that you were given. "Don't make any waves until after you've completed your assignment, dear. The Exaltation Gala is one of the most prestigious events in Taldor. You may have it in your mind that you'll change your life on this day, but do keep in mind that you have tasks you must complete first." When asked, Lady Martella Lotheed reminded you of the family that had rejected her, and that your only job was to ensure she could topple said family, if they could be called such. And now, here you are in Oppara, for one of the grandest festival's across all Golarion. The course of your life is about to change...

Hello! War for the Crown was the winner of my recent "Which AP should I run" thread.

I a looking for 4 to 5 players who can save the Empire of Taldor. I'm hoping to get a relatively well-rounded party to accomplish this. Character creation guidelines are as follows.

*Character Creation Guidelines*
• Races: All standard races from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook will be allowed. Any other PC race will be considered on a case by case basis. The Character guide indicates that almost any of the races could be found in some part of Taldor, but also indicates that many of those races will experience more difficulty navigating the upper echelons of Taldor society.
• Classes: All classes from any Paizo publication will be allowed as well as any archetype for those classes. If there is an Unchained version, you must use the Unchained version. Bear in mind this is a primarily urban campaign, so archetypes focusing on wilderness will still be considered, but may have a more difficult time.
• Alignments: Characters can be of any Good or Neutral alignment. No evil alignments will be allowed.
• Abilities: Abilities will be created using a 20 point buy. No ability can be higher than 18 or lower than 8 after racial modifiers are applied. I will also note that I am not a fan of min-maxing, but min-maxing will not disqualify your character.
• Skills: We will be using the background skills system.
• Traits: Character's will start with two traits, one of which be from the War for the Crown Player’s Guide. NO drawbacks for a third trait will be allowed.
• Hit Points: Characters will start out with Maximum hit points for their class at 1st level. Thereafter characters will roll for their hit points (or accept ½ hit die+1) whichever is greater.
• Starting Gold: Characters will roll for their starting gold (or accept the average for their class) whichever is greater. Lady Martella has also provided you with a 30 gp line of credit to her favorite tailor shop, the
• Backstory: Because this is a more RP heavy adventure, a backstory will be a good indicator for me of how you RP. And they're fun to read :) Your backstory doesn't need to be pages upon pages, but a few paragraphs would be nice, especially if you can work your traits into it. Please also provide me the general fluff details, such as age of your character, physical description and a personality blurb on your character profiles or via a spoiler on your submission post. Elements of your backstory may come into play as the adventure goes along.
• Posting Rate: My goal is to post once a day during the week and at least once on the weekends. If availability allows for more regular posting, that will happen, but I understand that RL gets in the way. I would prefer that this campaign last and make it to the end instead of anyone getting burned out and leaving in the middle of the story. As long as the story continues to flow I'm good with whatever rate you can muster. That being said, radio silence of a week will cause me to send you a PM to make sure everything is ok. Continued silence after that will cause me to boot you from the game and seek a replacement player.
•Character Death: I won't go out of my way to kill your characters, but the dice will fall where they fall. That being said, I reserve the right to ignore the dice if I feel it will help the story.
•Recruitment Period: I am going to leave this open until 9/12 at midnight though it may close sooner if applications cease sooner. Final selection will be completed and announced no later than 9/19.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me either in this post or via PM's. New players are welcome to apply!

With things being the way they are in the world, and many of us not being able to connect with regular groups the way we normally would, I would like to run an Adventure Path for those that might want to play in it.

But I don't know which Adventure Path I should run, which is why I have come to you all. Between Starfinder and Pathfinder 1e, which Adventure Path should I run?

I'll leave this open for about a week or so or until the opinion of the boards has made itself well known.

Please provide your top 3 choices.

Thank you!
