So i will be starting a game shortly, lvl to 1-20 with an actual decent chance to reach 20, and i thought of building the usual shapeshifting murder machine.

As apparently the entire table is of full casters, this kinda of thing will be the melee.

The issue is that, being honest, i suck at making these.

So please, does anyone have good druid/brown-fur or whatever else full caster melee builds to share?

Ofc, any help is welcome, doesnt need to be a full build, just some levels or guidelines would already be pretty handy.

Thanks for reading.

So here it is:

https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/oozes/ooze-sapphire/

It reads:

"While the shape of the armor created can vary, it always appears to be made of glittering sapphire crystals and provides protection as if it were a mithral breastplate."

Does this means it always also gives the arcane check penalty of a mithral breastplate to the person wearing it?

So basic rules of creation are: 20 PB and 2 traits.
Race: Must be human or an "offshoot", like assimar or tiefling.
Class/Archetype: Any Paizo made goes outside summoner.
Concept: Actually anything goes this one time.

Party:
Melee cleric: Heal/"Tank"/Buffer.
Ranger: Ranged dps.
Wizard or Arcanist: God, Summoner.

So based on this spread, i was hoping to get some ideas of the last to fit here.

My go to was going to be Paladin with VMC cavalier (star order) for tankiness and party face. Party face being one thing lacking right now i believe.

So any ideas you guys have to pitch in?

Thanks.

The concept of the build is already done, we even started the game and the PC was a blast with everyone around the table laughing non stop at the nights out he called them to. Ofc also thanks to the GM that rolled with it heh. The issue is how to actually fill the mechanical side of the sheet.

So pretty much what im running is a CG lvl 1 Tiefling (Oni) spiritualist, no archetype, that follows Cailean with a Lust phantom .

Stats currently:
STR 20
DEX 12
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 14
CHA 7

Feat: Improv Initiative

The Lust phantom:
all 3 social skills + stealth.
Feat: Step Up

So the idea is to build the phantom into a tank/scout, while my spiritualist does the actual damage.

So for the phantom i intend to take both Antagonize and Following Step and then focus on skill bonus for both diplomacy and intimidation.

The issue is how to get the most out of the spiritualist himself.

For now im considering going into VMC and taking barbarian for the rage. The spiritualist would then get power attack at 5 and go to town on the enemies.

The clear flaw, is that this guy will have a very low AC, which im hoping to see if the phantom can cover.

Anyone got suggestion and ideais of how to make this PC better? For all purposes consider that anything but my class, race and phantom focus can be changed.

So im running a chosen one paladin in a game and want to make him a meat wall while still giving some damage. I went 2 hand + power attack for the damage, but i dont know all the ways to boost LoH on the meat wall part, right now i got:

Feat:
- Fey Foundling
+2 Hp per dice healed on self.
- Greater Mercy
For an extra +1d6 heal.

Equips:
- Bracers of the Merciful Knight
Boost LoH 4 lvls up
- Inheritor's Light (doesnt seem to require you to follow Iomedae)
+1 HP per dice

Trait
- Envoy of healing (It is linked to Sarenrae, so needs to talk to the GM about using it while following other gods)
Allow you to reroll natural 1s once

Races with fav class:
- Tiefling
+1 HP per dice to self
- Elf
+1/2 HP per dice

This is what i got, on note, my PC is a human follower of Apsu, but all ways to boost it are welcome, this could also help those just searching for entirely new PCs.

For a phantom i considered using jealousy, for the level 7 aura, using antagonize from level 1 with incorporeal should work quite well, and then picking combat advice and battle cry.

For the spiritualist im stuck on which feats to pick, i know about the dazzling display route, but what else can you guys suggest?

I personally dont intend to go either the touch route, which the wizard debuffer makes irrelevant or the dps route, which the party archer makes irrelevant, i wanted a niche where it isnt directly going toe to toe and losing by miles.

Im quite interested in making use of them since level 1, which leave 2 classes open, since for cavaliers they are... well useless as far as i could see.

With this said i have very little experience with both shammans and druids, so i would like advice on ideas for builds using the archetypes that give these two classes a drake companion.

1) When you use the duplicate familiar spell, it is correct to say any items/equips the familiar may have are not duplicated with it correct?

2) Im not following every errate/FAQ so im unsure, but did anything change about dazing? Or it still pretty much works on everything.

It is my understanding that they "cant/wont" for some reason , but truth be told i didnt read every book or check every thread.

So i was wondering , how exactly does this work? Are they "forbidden" to take action? They wont take action for some other reason? They dont take action because others would use their time in the material plane to destroy them?

So basically , i assume wont have the internet to check the stats block of summoner monster (summon good...), so i wanted either an androird app (the one i saw is wasnt updated since 2012 or something) or just a list i can make into a pdf and then take with me on a tablet.

Something like this:

http://gregfarrell.org/pfs/

Would be perfect, this one itself tends to get an error 99,9999% of the time i try to get a stat block out of it.

This is me just trying to avoid the work of getting monster by monster by hand and adding it to a pdf , which i will do if nobody has anything faster.

So the situation is the following:

We have decided to run a rise of the runelords table, but with only 2 players (we may add NPCs to the party later on if it is trully needed), so since we will only be having 2 level 1 PCs , the DM decided to give each a template up to CR+1 (at level one , so for example something like half celestial counts , since at HD 1 it is CR+1).

So my friend went with a Lycan(werebear) human druid and she is wreaking havoc in her hybrid form with 27 STR and 22 WIS.

I on the other hand decided to go with a human feyborn sorc , issue is , i just cant decide on a CR+1 template , at the time since i had no idea i made a half celetial , but im not really sure this is a decent choice , even if it does sound like it.

You guys can advise any other template?

PS: Nothing that requires evil please. I prefer to have good or neutral PCs.

First let me thank those who helped me on the other thread asking for similiar advice , due to the great results there i decided to just make a second thread for more build help , hope i can count with your help again.

Now what im looking for is a really strong alchemist build (or just about any guide lines you can provide), this is a NPC , so no need to worry about it disrupting the party (well not more than any LE enemy would :P).

The rules are the following:

1) Any paizo material is valid , only 3pp is to be avoided.

2) The background is a drow (so the race cant change) fleshwarper. I dont know any (if the are) actual rules for fleshwarping , so it is mostly background and the NPC dont need a sheet that represent this , it will be more of an extra power it will have using alchemy.

3) This is a level 10 NPC , should be mostly alchemist , but can dip. Its WBL is 100k at this point. Consider it a 25 point buy.

4) While i kept saying "OP"/"strong" , i just mean it must be "maxed" at something , doesnt need to be combat , but it could also be (like dunno a Beastmorph+Vivisectionist)

So once again i ask , what can you guys point me?

PS: Dont consider any fleshwarped creatures part of its WBL that will be outside it.

So i have a concept im considering , issue is , im not really good at making martial builds , even less when we start getting out of the usual ones. So i really wish to gather options and ideas.

So using these 3 rules:

1) 2 handed melee weapon user

2) Using no armor would be better , but if need be light would be ok.

3) The build revolves around the char fighting with speed not strengh , so it should remain mostly DEX based compared to STR.

What can you guys point for me?

PS: Assume the char will be around lvl 5/6 atleast at the start , any paizo published material is valid.

PS 2: The stats should be equivalent to a 25 point buy.

Like the thread title says , im looking for items/feats/traits...

Anything that can get the knowledge skill higher and higher.

So if you guys got any ideas , please share.

So in the new heroes of the street book there is the busker archetype where the following text can be found:

A busker uses his dazzling physical stunts to get by on his
own in the city streets. Buskers commonly use their skills
to entertain for a few coins, but also pick pockets, hide in plain sight as statues, and manipulate the desperate in
medicine shows. Many buskers are also jugglers (Pathfinder
Player Companion: Ranged Tactics Toolbox 7).

and:

Bardic Performance: Buskers do not gain the bardic
performance ability or any of its performance types,
except as noted below.

On the juggler archetype there is the following:

Evasion (Ex): At 2nd level, a juggler gains evasion,
as the rogue class feature of the same name. At
12th level, he gains improved evasion, as the rogue
advanced talent. This ability replaces well-versed and
soothing performance.

Now then , my understanding of adding multiple archetypes together is that they must not change the same class features , which is happening here and yet the book says these usually go together.

Is this allowed?

So guys i have been thinking about bards lately , both the dervish dancer and the duettist seem quite nice to me , but im having trouble finding out the best way to go about the dervish weapon choice.

The options i know about:

STR build:

1)Go TWF with kukris

2)Spend a feat on exotic weapon and use a fauchard or an elven curved sword.

Problem with the STR build is that i image it has low AC compared to a focused in DEX.

DEX build:

1)Go TWF with kukris , spend a feat on weapon finesse and then make both +1 keen/agile kukris when you can , but it is quite expensive.

2)Go with the scimitar , get weapon finesse then dervish dance to me this seems like a poor choice , having a "dead" hand doesnt suit me

Im quite sure there are plenty of options i dont know about also , so , how you guys advise to build said dervish dancer?

So we can start with the obvious skill ranks and CHAR direct bonus.

CHAR wise we have the

we start with 18 +2(racial) = 20
Headband of Alluring Charisma +6
Tome of Leadership and Influence +5
Leveling +5 points all in CHAR

So 36 = +13

Now for the direct skill bonus:

Core
Skill focus +3/6 bonus

Ultimate Equipment
CIrclet of Persuasion +3 competence bonus
Bracers of the Glib Entertainer +5 competence bonus
Masterwork Musical Instrument +2 circumstance bonus
Dust, Storyteller's +2 bonus to tell story

Mythic
Adroit +20 insight bonus
Display of Charisma +20 circumstance bonus
Surge +1dX (6/8/10/12) on skill check

Ultimate Campaign
Initiate +3 by making it class skill
Hero’s Luck +4 luck bonus
Intense Student +2 competence bonus
Magnum Opus +5 bonus and take 15 on check
Intense Artist (religion trait) +1 trait bonus on 2 checks and perform is class skill

Bestiary 1
Nymph Inspiration +4 insight bonus

Advanced Class guide
Tome of epics After consulting the book for 1 hour, for the next 24 hours you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on Perform (oratory) and Perform (sing)

Inner Sea Gods
Blade of Three Fancies +4 sacred bonus

I understand some of those dont add up together , im fine with that , for now im just trying to find all sources , ofc i will use whatever grants the highest bonus in the end.

Btw i heard in 3.5 you can use a formula (item bonus X item bonus X 100 = price) and it goes up to +30 in competence , it works like this also in pathfinder?

So i got a "casual" PC friend in a group.

To put it simply , we want her to play with us and she makes a effort for it , but she is not the kind of person to remember the rules, the items, make preparations before the game time and so on, we dont mind remembering her , but it does detract of the fun she is having , since she thought she could do this amazing thing till we stopped her.

So i have been wondering , anyone got experience with kinda of thing and how to improve this kind of PC enjoyment?

She loves animals (playing a druid) so all i could think for now is advising her to take leadership and go for an unicorn/pegasus or something like that.

Centaur

Source: Ultimate Magic

The eidolon has the upper torso of a humanoid and the lower body of a quadruped (such as a horse).A centaur eidolon’s upper humanoid torso is smaller than its quadrupedal body. As a result, it wields weapons as if it were one size category smaller than its actual size (Medium for most centaur eidolons). The centaur model can also be used to create a lamia (a centaur eidolon with the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a lion) by replacing the hooves evolution with claws and taking basic magic (touch of fatigue), minor magic (ventriloquism), major magic (daze monster), and ultimate magic (major image), resulting in a 23-point model.

13 points: Base Form quadruped; Primary Evolutions limbs (arms), hooves; Secondary Evolutions large, trample, weapon training, weapon training (martial).

Ok , this makes quite clear what the rules are if i want a centaur with a sword , but what about eidolons with many arms using natural attacks?

For the centaur itself is not so hard so divide this , assuming i got:

1 Great Sword -> Medium (arms)
2 Claws -> Medium (arms)
2 Hooves -> Large (legs)

Ok ... but what if i want the lamia?

1 Great Sword -> Medium (arms)
2 Claws -> Medium (arms)
2 Claws -> Large (legs)

And then what if i add rend? Which would be the claw damage i should use?

So my question is , what should be the weapon size for the natural attacks an centaur/lamia eidolon does?

Anyone got cohorts that when they played with they found funny/different?

Not really the usual wizard that only crafts or the cleric that is a buff machine.

I looking for ideas.
