Loving the class so far, very inquisitor-like.
But does anyone else feel like the Dubious Knowledge doesn't play well with Find Flaws?
Basically, because Antithesis activates on a successful recall knowledge it's very easy to metagame the knowledge gained; if Antithesis didn't proc then it's false, but if Antithesis did proc then I know for certain that what I learned is true.
Just my 2c.
freeing up dex allows a magus to have ideal stats by investing in str/con/int/wis and further boosting by taking dex and cha flaws (usually for more con)
Negative Dex still reduces your AC even while wearing heavy armor but I 100% agree that sentinel is a great choice for magus for your reason.
Hello, I was wondering it if casting a spell from a scroll and/or staff would count as "casting a spell" for entering the magus' arcane cascade. Scrolls & staves require the "cast a spell" activity to use them but I'm not 100% sure if that's the same for meeting the requirement.
My bigger question is "can you use them with spellstrike"?
I think yes, as it's a Cast a Spell action, but for say, the Flaming Star, would the damage boost apply to the spellstrike's attack or the next Strike afterwards?
Sorry if this doesn't belong here but I confused on the Twisting Tree Magus' staff traits. I know that it's die get increased and gains agile, and you can elect to two-hand it for a bigger die plus more traits. But if I two-hand it, does it keep the agile trait? My gut says no as there's no 2 handed weapons with agile but I'm unsure.
I don't really get the hype for Dirge of Doom. I've only played a mid-level bard, but I've done fine with just standard Inspire + Demoralize, which saves 1 action compared to harmonizing Courage & Dirge. Is there something I'm missing besides AoE frighten?
