Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does Undeath to Death destroy a vampire utterly or does it just force the vampire to assume gaseous form?
Thanks for advice, guys: I´ll think this thoroughly before our next session :)
Well, in real life I have ripped a friend of mine free from a grapple of a drunken idiot, so I know it´s possible :)
I was thinking if it´s possible to simply rip someone off some other guy´s grapple by brute force, not aiding the grappled guy to free himself?
Is there a way to free someone who is being grappled by, for instance, grappling that poor fellow yourself and tearing him free by some kind of opposed check or something?
Thanks for great advice, this clarified a lot :)
Okey, I´ve been quite confused with this stacking of archetypes: so it´s possible to stack archetypes from different classes, but not from same class?
Say a witch who has Elements as patron gains a level up to level 14, and decides to take the Dimensional occultist archetype: what happens to her previous patron spells and hexes? And does she gain the archetypes all class features from level 1 to level 14 or how does it work? Thanks for help :)
Last three characters I´ve played:
Nina Luna, 15th lvl drow witch (no archetype). Have been playing Nina for 3 years: she´s become filthy rich and lately she got married with a human sea captain, she´s now pregnant with twins. Nina is a powerful healer and good with crafts, she prefers to Divine and Scry things and plan ahead
Olga, 1st lvl human witch (no archetype). Have played her once, she´s 13 years old and has a pretty bad teen angst, she usually Intimidates adults to buy her alcohol. So far she has just tried to not get killed, but she dreams of becoming so powerful she could bring her dead family back to life
Issa, 6th lvl unchained half orc rogue (no archetype). My first rogue since 1990´s, I´ve played her for a year. Issa spends her loot on wine, food, clothes and gigolos, as a rogue she´s a basic two sword backstabber
You should be able to use immediate action anytime even if it´s not your turn, so I guess you can use it as soon as an attack against you is declared?

It will be a called one, should make the player cautious about using it, after all it´s a once in a lifetime bargain :D
I guess I´ll treat it like any bound outsider, except this one´s service continues until it´s master dies, and make a houserule concerning getting it back in case it´s banished, like returning 24 hours after banishment, perhaps requiring some sort of bloody sacrifice
zza ni wrote: if the devil in question isn't selected yet, and you want the ability to call it and rise it's power as you level (also explain why it would like to be enslaved = it gains power from this)
then i would advice taking the Summon Guardian Spirit feat and pick an imp
Thanks, but the character in question wants something much more powerful than imp. I also think the devil in question doesn´t have a choice in the matter, it has to obey, so it´s irrelevant whether or not it wants or likes to be enslaved
Would an infernal slave be subject to Dismissal or Banishment like extraplanar creatures usually are? And if it were, how would the character get it back?
Say a character makes an infernal contract with a contract devil and gains a devil as an infernal slave. Would it function like an eidolon which can be summoned and dismissed as needed, or would it somehow lose the extraplanar subtype and become bound to Material plane? Or how would an infernal slave function?

So you don't use or modify monsters at all? Just NPCs? You can do whatever you want. Of course I modify monsters, I just don´t use or allow players to use anything unofficial: for instance official templates are fine
If a player can´t make it, then I can´t make it, same rules for everyone :)
Java Man wrote: It is important to note that (according to the copyright info on d20pfsrd) this creature is from the 3.5 edition of Rise of the Runelords. In the PF updated Anniversary edition of RotRL this creature did not appear.
So this is a converted statblock for a 3.5 creature that has not been officially updated to PF.
Thanks, this was the answer I was looking for :)
I agree, an odd beast indeed, but if the modification can be done for a clay golem, why not for a bone or iron golem? I´m really thinking about forbidding this one unless someone really explains to me why it can be done to a clay golem but not to others
Ok, that leads to next question: could this modification be made and the ability given to other golems also?
I´m thinking about forbidding the armored variant if it´s the only one that can be armored, but it would be nice if there´s an official ruling about this: the armored variant seems quite OP to me
There´s a plate armored variant of clay golem (+9 AC): can any golem be armored like that (for extra cost, naturally)?
Fuzzy-Wuzzy wrote: Polymorph spells drop your form-based supernatural and extraordinary abilities, but spell-like abilities are unaffected. So, yes, she can. Thanks :)
Suppose a devil uses Alter self to polymorph to a human: can she still use her spell-like abilities as a human?
When a vampire creates spawns, can she create a full vampire or only weaker vampire spawns?
Thanks, Protective Penumbra solves the problem just fine :)
Are there any means for a vampire to shield against daylight and be a ´daywalker´ ?
Thanks for advice, guys: I think I´ll allow using Heal to simply extract a tooth, and use Profession dentist for more complicated operations :)
Could dentistry be handled with Heal, or should it be a Profession skill?
Now that´s a great idea, I´ll drop a scroll to PCs during some game and see what happens, thanks :)
Has anyone found any actually good use for Contact entity spell? To me it seems a dangerous and unpredictable spell with which lots of things can go wrong and the spellcaster is likely to end up dead or insane
Thanks, this might help the poor investigators :)
I´m gamemastering a murder mystery for my players: the culprit is a vigilante serial killer. He´s obviously immune to Divination? Are there any magical means to find out his real identity?
1) Can Divination be used to find out someone´s real name?
2) Can questions be linked, like: where is the thief who stole from me, has the thief companions, do the companions include a spellcaster, or are these all considered same topic?
