Don't mind me, nothing to see here. ^.^

How does everyone feel about Nigrum? Does he pull through or would you rather lay him to rest?

It seems beside the site crashes, my games have not been updating ether. >.>

That said I think you want to recheck your math DM. As I would like to know where +115 comes from. ;)

I'm still around if sleep deprived.

Sorry for my absence, both the site and my job have been giving me problems. I'll try to catch up.

I would prefer if you had the ability to remove their firing pins and render their guns disabled long enough for me to smash them to parts before they could take said pins back. But yeah anything that forces melee works for Nigrum sense all they need is not to roll a nat 1 to hit most of the party with those things. Without getting close or something it's pretty much going to be a wipe if we don't retreat at this point I think.

Nigrum moves back to stand beside Azri.

"Any plans? These strange weapons seem to be immune to armor."

Honestly I am waiting as well. Touch attacks pretty much render Nigrum's defenses moot and so he can not charge in as usual. Not to mention he just loss half his hp in a single round from a single attack while under cover. His current thoughts are of retreat, you can't help anyone when your dead.

Male Cisor Slayer 6 / Champion 2 l HP 86 l AC: 29, T: 15, FF: 24 l F: +11, R: +11, W: +7 (+4 vs Poison) l Init +7 l Perception +12

With a single leap Nigrum takes cover alongside Mihara.

"They are to grouped together for me to dive in. We need to split them up."

Ayreth I really suggest you find a spot behind cover, otherwise I think those attackers are going to shred you in a single round. DM what do the red and blue squares count as?

Nigrum scanned the area and the possible hostile constructs before putting in his two coppers.

"As I see it, our affairs do not concern you. We had a prearranged meeting. Any disputes between yourselves are not our business unless you make them so. Unless the one that has agreed to this meeting cancels it, then we have no reason to take your word or anyone eles's for that matter into consideration. A stance you have taken yourselves not to long ago. As long as you do not interfere with us, we will do the same. If you interfere, then I take it you remember the result of the last time you took that action."

He grips Tsui ready to unleash it if needed.

"It would be unwise to create more enemies without reason. More so enemies that have already proven superior to you in the past. We have come here to speak only. That will not change unless you make it so."

It was poor tactical judgement to increase your enemies when your forces were already at a stalemate as it appeared. Even if they had a slight advantage it still made a bad choice. They had broken them before, they could do so again if they proved unwise.

"Perhaps the gunfire we heard is them being attacked or engaged with an enemy. Seems a bit silly to worry about answering the door in that case. The smoke is hardly a good sign ether."

He says before bending his knee's slightly before leaping high into the air to get a better view point. Sense the others seemed to insist on not going pass the gate he went straight up rather then aiming to perch on the wall or a tower top.

"I'm going to drop these off at Nexus and check on things with Mihara."

He motions to the pile of broken constructs he had collected and was now carrying around.

"Then I intend to go meet with Katima as agreed. I do not have much use down here at the moment."

Unless stopped he goes the same way as Mihara.

Male Cisor Slayer 6 / Champion 2 l HP 86 l AC: 29, T: 15, FF: 24 l F: +11, R: +11, W: +7 (+4 vs Poison) l Init +7 l Perception +12

"Perhaps this Deus is simply a copy, predecessor, or counterpart of Nexus at a different location. It seems rather out of hand to jump to that specific theory. Not to mention what is to be gained by provoking us in the manner that they have. Unless they felt they had to in order to prevent us from controlling the city. They have even gone so far as to attempt to destroy their prize rather then risk losing it. Or at least damage it greatly."

If there was another of himself, something he doubted very much, far more damage would have been had. Attacking and disrupting a location you knew well with information and forces to command would not result in such haphazard efforts. More so by someone like himself, he would never take such half measures. Far more likely another group with this Deus wanted to add Nexus and the city to their resources. That would explain who and why they had gone after halfblood as well as their methods. They had failed to completely settle their own city and build resources properly before they tried to add this one to their own. In their greed and haste they are trying to conquer two cities at once while dealing with a rival group. That made more sense to him and explained a great deal.

Always underestimating the warrior everyone is. ;)

"I do not care what names others give me, I only answer to those that I choose myself. You should not care, nor should you give this one anything it has not rightfully earned."

He gave Aibek a side long look. To allow the enemy to disturb you would only allow them a way to manipulate you and gain an advantage. Turning back towards the thing.

"Your observations are unneeded and unwanted. It seems supposed superior beings lack common manners and self restraint."

A failing they continued to exploit he would point out, if it were not an enemy.

Making the perfect "wish" is not what we are doing here. You get one question. Not paragraph, not contract, not conditions attached to a question. You over think it and if it was me I would use that to keep my word and screw you out of information. Because that is what evil does when you make them think twice about being arrogant. If they were dumb they wouldn't be a pain in our butts or last very long now would they.

Anyways he already gave himself a condition without us placing one on him. By saying "in full" so no he can not just short change us without violating his own agreement. In which case we know he is lying if he does and their was no point in trying to "fool proof" the question to begin with.

Keep it simple with a good question, don't go down the rabbit hole of making a flawless question. If you mess up well we do have limited wish gems, just ask yourself if it's worth it to use one for a re-question. Or just pull his annoying self to our side where we can beat him sense less.

P.S. Be careful what you give PCs. ;)

This time he turns to Mihara.

"Would they not simply change their plans after exposing them. Stopping a single plan or attack does nothing so long as the enemy remains to repeatedly attack us. Without information on the enemy you will always be at a disadvantage. Adopting a siege mentality is ultimately self defeating."

He didn't like how they were giving the enemy information on themselves with this exchange ether. He certainly would take advantage of it and take note if he was in their position.

Extra nerd points if you know where I stole that last spoken sentence from. Hint, it's from a tv series dear to nerdom of which their are a number of spin offs. x)

Nigrum turned slowly to Azri.

"Wouldn't my question answer that. Any enemy that has already defeated him in the past would qualify. More so if it was not a single individual then he could speak the truth or misdirect us without breaking his word. Spend enough time in Katapesh or among the Abadaran and you will learn details in words mean something. Even if it does not line up with the spirit of the agreement."

He spat out that last part, damned bounties dishonored by the fine print as they put it.

"Anyways liars that spin grand tales or stray to far from the truth give themselves away. The more complex the lie, the greater the chance of a misstep. The best lies are the simple ones."

Charlatans and con artist were the easiest bounties, they always talked to much for their own good. Confidence overcoming caution or simple good sense more often then not.

While he was tempted to break the enemy's toys. He would not rush into things without the group choosing such.

"I would say we ask for his personal story. He would by his own word be compelled to tell us all of himself and what he has experienced up to this very moment. Revealing much of himself and anyone that is connected to him be they friend or foe."

Nigrum stuffs what he can into his dimensional bag before joining the others.

"Do you have a way to shut that down or do I just break it?"

He asked to his comrades while studying the guards.

Nigrum is busy stacking the broken guards in a pile. Thinking about if he would drag them or pick up the lot and carry them to the surface.

Nigrum goes around checking the broken ones for anything useful. He wonders if he can return them to Nexus for repair in order to bring them to their side. They could use any addition to their forces, if nothing else perhaps they could be used for replacement parts on the tower guards they already have.

Male Cisor Slayer 6 / Champion 2 l HP 86 l AC: 29, T: 15, FF: 24 l F: +11, R: +11, W: +7 (+4 vs Poison) l Init +7 l Perception +12

Nigrum grunted. If they could find a symbol worth his attention he wouldn't be the only one lacking.

"Nigrum is my name, General of Khalharum. The others have symbols. You must not be connected to Nexus if your out of the loop."

He points with a thumb to the others behind him. He wasn't taking his eyes off this one as he studied him. Wouldn't be the first stubborn construct around these parts.

Nigrum takes his time to pick out some corrupted guards to study. Waits for a chance when they would be with in range after teleporting and flings himself at his target.

"A few of these just tried to kill us and everyone above. Why not break them."

Tsui comes flashing out in a side long slash.

Yeah sense the start I changed Nigrum. Originally he was going to be a melee glass cannon but ever sense I saw we had no tank I redesigned him to be the party shield. Acts like a paladin but without the healing and a bit more offense focused as a result of his class.

Truth be told he can't compete with a paladin or the updated fighter's defensive abilities. But it is a little counter balanced by his killing power. Sense more dead enemies means less chance of death all around.

Just saying but be careful with PCs and massive explosions or devices capable of it.

Once saw some PCs destroy an entire plane of existence using an enemies plane destroying bomb. FYI it was a plane the enemy had conquered and rendered lifeless with only their own with in. The PCs had to steal an artifact from them and escape their massive armies. They chose to steal the item and blow up their armies with one of their own doomsday weapons.

Just saying, be careful what toys you leave around. ;P

It appeared with no great surprise that the worm returned. Honestly he would have to have a talk with Nexus concerning a method to keep the parasite out or expel it from a host. If the enemy couldn't fight itself, then depraving it of a medium would defeat it all the same.

"Azri, can I break it or must I break only part of it?"

Even if it was unwise to destroy the entire thing, damaging it could slow down or release some pressure. It may even stop it from building more power until repaired.
