OK i think we are set for characters! Whoever already rolled is in, once everyone chars are set I'll put up first game play post. Since it's holiday weekend coming up in US will probably start next week if we are all good to go!
There will be a good amount of adventuring, political crap, pillaging, fighting off forces of chaos or other types of baddies. Probably even time for your group to do some bad as well.
I am going to be running the written adventures which may be a little rail roady so bear with me and the adventures at times. Will try to make adjustments as they make sense.
If i ever played a game as a player i'd make a Flagellant because I love playing psychotic fanatics. :)
Leaving it completely up to you. If you want to let the dice control your fate then you get bonus exp but if you have a specific type of character you want to play then pick and choose with little to no bonus starting exp.
Ex: if you plan on playing human probably OK to just roll for random race since Humans is like 01-90 while non human requires a 91+ roll and get a little bonus exp but if you REALLY want to play a dwarf safer to just pick it with no bonus exp there.
Excellent. Ping me if you don't have the books for character creation. All the races in the main book plus Gnomes from Rough Days will be allowed. We will use the character creation rules from the book so if you wish to be wild and totally randomize your character by letting the dice choose your faith you will get bonus exp or you can pick and choose your own destiny.
It uses d100 for Characteristics/Skills just like 1st/2nd editions. The class/career, combat and magic systems are a lot different but pretty cool how they set it up IMO.
Combat is brutal, it's still a low magic fantasy setting where magic is deadly to both the targets and the caster!
Thinking of running the printing adventures for Warhammer Fantasy 4e. Very excited they are doing The Enemy Within again but there is enough material already to last a long while.
Xing eyes Edward. "You get hit on the head or something?"
Buck gives Xing a stern eye. "Don't mind her she's always cranky, must be a woman thing er somethin. We been keeping watch out for ya here while you were gone. Did you get it back?"
Xing leans back in the chair yawning not use to staying up so late.
"Wake up woman!" Bret smacks the back of her chair. "I think they are coming back"
Buck pops up at the comment and looks out the window. "I recon that be them there." He starts to count the number of heads as they roll in toward the station. "Think that's all of em."
Xing brushes her long dark hair a bit before standing and moving toward the door with the rest of the posse to great the incoming crew.
Do the characters start with any other starting gear or just what the occupation gave. I didn't roll for the money do I do that as well and buy whatever I can with it to start?
