Deep in the depths of his mutagen-induced rage, Nesteruk howled in equal parts dismay and fury as Chardak staggered and finally fell in a pool of blood. He surged into the bandit, swinging his greataxe in a wild arc. Greataxe Attack (+2 if Charging, haven't checked map): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

With no more javelins remaining, Nesteruk turned his anger to the doors leading inside the building- hacking at it with his greataxe, alchemically enhanced muscles quivering. Damage: 1d12 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Will Save (Ragechemist): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
His anger merely growing despite his injury, Nesteruk stepped back away from the barn to hurl another javelin at the closest rooftop bandit. The projectile hurtled through the air at devastating speed to hit him... AC17 from Mutagen. Move me wherever necessary to get line of sight GM.

I'm getting lost. Can we start declaring the start of new rounds, perhaps something like this- Combat Name Round X- Ordered Initiative- Active Effects- Map- I'm able to make check ins on the thread but trying to navigate it when short on time is nightmarish.

Sorry DM, I have no objections to being botted as i'm still really struggling for time right now. Don't hesitate to bot Nesteruk if i'm holding up the game, things will settle down for me in early October. I'll just add a little fluff while i've got a minute. Nesteruk imbibed his newly enhanced mutagen with a heavy frown, wincing as if in agony as he drank deep from the foul extract. The alchemical effect on his limbs and body was immediately apparent, as his muscles expanded with a brutal cracking sound, his upper body growing in bulk. The already strong half-orc now put even a strong Orc to shame and he growled deeply from within his throat as he struggled to focus, not used to the new sensations. Axe in hand, he prepared himself to surge out of the mist...

Seeing that the creatures were obviously hungry, Nesteruk prepared himself for a fight- stepping to C12 and unsheathing his axe from the straps upon his shoulder, and drinking one of the alchemical mixtures he had prepared earlier that day. Move and cast Shield.

Nesteruk looked a bit wary now that the strangers matched their own numbers. Grinby, is he also with you? he asked, starting to sound a little suspicious. DM should I have my extra spell etc. yet as i'm now level 2? We haven't prepped spells since you declared we levelled so its a little messy.

Another half-orc stood close to Chardak, of a similar size and physique. Together they looked quite imposing, although Nesteruk greeted the two with a warm smile, contrasting with Chardak's suspicion. A true Lastwall man, born and bred! he exclaimed with a wry smile at Grinby's statement. Well met to you both. I am Nesteruk of Vigil. We would welcome you along our bandit hunt... Can't be too careful.

Don't really want any of their gear tbh... Think Nesteruk's only loot is still the axe. Edit: Yup, pretty much. I'll take the crossbow and bolts when it comes down to it. Edit 2: Got Nesteruk updated in Herolab, when exactly are we levelling, this evening game time? I have quite a story critical (well, Nesteruk's story) and mildly disturbing moment I need to play out around the campfire as part of level up lol. Edit 3: HP roll- 1d8 ⇒ 5

I think i'll take the liberty to add some Sense Motive DC's to Nesteruk's "slips" in future. Personally got no problem with skills like that being used on PC's- if I had it my way, Diplomacy could be used by NPC's to influence PC attitudes :P. RPing his low charisma with the moments of awkwardness and slips. Although how the group will react when he spontaneously develops a third arm should be highly amusing.

Nesteruk nodded in thanks to Chardak. Hold it still... he warned the half-orc as he unslung his axe from his shoulder and cleaved the little pest in two. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Note- 1 con damage. No effect as of yet.

I'll be out of contact until the very end of July, due to a trip to Kiev followed by days spent packing up the flat i'm living in here in Ukraine followed by a 3 day bus journey back. Its easier to just declare my absence now rather than try and keep up with things during this busy time. Roll on August!

Its just a very rough time for me both health-wise and work-wise so i'm just being quite passive and hoping the others will take lead. Still here, still motivated to play. Probably best to nudge us forward.

Nesteruk followed the others. Once any items were left after the group took what they needed, he said- We should sell the rest. Perhaps the local militia here will be interested in purchasing this gear. Its been a while... What did Nesteruk actually claim? A masterwork greataxe was all I believe.

Nesteruk was too polite to press his other, unanswered question. He turned to the others- Does this sound like something you might be interested in following up on, or has our time working together come to an amiable end?

Was the wand the only reward for this task? A good man died fighting for your wife, perhaps you should honour his sacrifice by providing coin to keep us fighting the good fight for Lastwall. Another task would also be welcome. This was far more rewarding than militia duty, that is for certain.

The leadership of the town is surely his by right. Incompetent leaders do not last long in such a place. Chardak Bonereaper wrote: "Your patrols are weak or they would have killed the orcs before now. They would not fight the orcs with us. Gorum can not be pleased with such cowards." Nesteruk had been silent for some time but he spoke up here, a little awkwardly. Come, Chardak, not everyone can be expected to fight at every opportunity. They are serving the kingdom as best they can and they chose their path. Every man in Lastwall must do his bit for the realm and they risk their lives for theirs. I am sure, when the time comes, they would hold the line he chided, placing great emphasis on his final three words. Nesteruk addressed the mayor- This patrol does not report to you then, milord? he asked, pronouncing the title as a common man does, rather than a nobleman's "My Lord". Who do you surmise they report to?

Nesteruk looked confused. Why would they shun us? Lastwall is not known for shunning anyone who steps up in the defence of its settlements. Even though I originally came from the Hold of Belkzen, they have always made me welcome in Vigil once I proved myself.
