I saw the latest Adventure Path is about pirates. I am in. I haven't roleplayed in lots of years now, but I am ready to jump back in with the Adventure Path starting next month. So, here is my question. What is the best way to subscribe to just the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path? It is effectively my test run. I would like to make sure I get all 6 issues and the support material. Is there an option for me to do just that? Thanks in advance. Neomorte
When I received Dungeon issue 144, I also had a slip of paper that said I had one issue remaining. I chose to renew for 6 issues. That should have brought my issues remaining to 7, however, it only reports that I have 6 issues remaining. Can you double check this and double check this to make sure I get the proper number of issues, please.
Does the Blue Duke have a part later in the Adventure Path? My players want to go "Half-Orc hunting". They are currently in the beginning of the Demonskar Legacy and are appauled at the abuses of power and position that the 1/2 orc mercs hired by the Cauldron has taken. If the Blue Duke does not play a role later, then I can have the party face him at some point in the next session. If not, then he should have a companion that the players can face in his stead. Thanks, Neomorte
We are a group of experienced players, most of us have played for over 25 years each. We would like to expand our group by a few members of experienced, serious gamers. Currently, we are in a 3.5 campaign in the Shackled City Adventure Path. Please contact me via email at neomorte@neomorte.com if you are interested.
Being a person that likes to support my local game store, I decided to grab up the hardcover from them. When I saw the preorder form here on Paizo, I downloaded it and took it to them so that I could order it. I thought they had done so, seems it is different than I thought. Well, here we are a week after the release date, they still don't have my copy in and the store is saying that Alliance is temporarily out of stock. Now in all the places that I have lived in the Midwest (Currently I am in St. Louis), the distributor of choice in every game store has been Alliance. I have never really been impressed with them, though I admit they seem to be better now than 10 years ago. So what is a DM to do? I am in the middle of the 3rd module with it on order with them and a need to switch over to the hardcover. I don't want to cancel my order, I don't want to order online, but this incident with the store is another mark in a long, tarnish history of issues that seem to crop up. I don't want to share the name of the store as I don't want to effect their business, but I am extremely frustrated... Do the people of Paizo know whether the shipping issue that was happening last week has an effect on Alliance getting a restock on the book and thus getting that book to me, assuming my special order was placed early enough that I won't get shafted out of the book altogether because I am at the end of the line? A Very Frustrated Thank You, Neomorte
I noticed something while re-reading the first design diary for the Shackled City HC. We are getting a poster map for Cauldron as it has never been seen before. Does that mean there will indeed be an "aftermath" map included in the book? Additionally, will we see the maps in a downloadable format here on paizo.com after or near the release of the hardcover? Thanks for your attention. Neomorte
Will the hardcover getting released next month use the new stat blocks that are in Dungeon 124 and the DMG2? They are very easy to read and I think it would make using the book easy. Additionally, has a ship date for the product been set? I am just now getting ready to start the 3rd adventure in the series and would like to see the book before I start the 4th. Thanks, Neomorte
I have to say that I love these articles. I got to look at my buddy's brand-spanking new issue with the chromatic dragons article last night. With the metallics covered last year and the chromatics covered this year, does that mean that we will see the gem dragons next year? Please? Anyway, I have only had one complaint and it covers both issues. They stop at 20th level. I was really hoping that I would see the entire progression 1st through whatever level tops out the creatures at Great Wyrm. I know that the space issue prevents it most likely, but I would have liked to have seen it. By no means does this mean that I am unhappy with the information provided, it is just the kick in the pants that the Council of Wyrms needs to get into v3.5. (Nope, I am not going to let it drop, even if I have to write it and submit it to Dragon myself.) Thanks, and keep up the good work. Neomorte
I was curious if there was going to be any use of the Ebon Triad in the new adventure path. I am considering using them in a post-Shackled City campaign and did not want to take the chance of ruining it for any of the DM's in my group that might choose to run the Age of Worms path as my adventures will be epic. The chance of changing the abilities of the Ebon Triad with characters of above 20th level is a bit too strong to ignore. Thanks,
I have just started running the Shackled City adventure path and wanted to know when the PC's should first learn of the Cagewrights. My players went straight to see Ghelve's Locks and that left me no time for them to meet the Striders. Of course, they nearly died before they got completely down the stairs because of a trap, so they might have to go back upstairs. In that case, they can meet them. Will they inform the PC's about the Cagewright plot in the initial meeting or will they wait until the characters prove themselves (read: after Life's Bazaar's events are concluding)? Neomorte
What, if anything, happens to the places that the PC's clear out in the course of the adventures? Are they left to the devices of individual DM's or are there specific things that happen to these places after their part of the story is over? If it is left to the DM, what have the other DM's done with these locales in their games? Neomorte
I know this is a bit early but I wanted to get everyone's initial thoughts. What do you other DMs have planned for after Asylum in next month's issue? Being one that insists on having a good reason to take characters into epic levels, I was contemplating running the Razing of Redshore to prime the players for epic levels. I noticed that Life's Bazaar and Flood Season both mention a "distant capital city" in the back story. Given the size of Redshore, it made sense that it could be the capital city referenced to in the adventure path. It makes for a good tie-in. It also will get them there when the heroes of Cauldron are called upon to help out the country/kingdom with the events that happen in that adventure. (YOu can find it in Dungeon 92, if you are curious.) After that, I am not sure, but the Storm Lord's Keep (Dungeon 93) might be interesting as it is written for epic characters. Neomorte
First of all, I am so glad that you now have a forum. I will be here often, I am sure. Second, I have noticed that there is a severe lack of epic and psionic adventures. Will Dungeon feature either of these types of adventures in the future? It is possible that the Shackled City adventure path might get an occational addition in the form of an epic adventure? Now, That would be great! Thanks, Neomorte |
