Do we get it with the Hardcover?

Shackled City Adventure Path

I noticed something while re-reading the first design diary for the Shackled City HC. We are getting a poster map for Cauldron as it has never been seen before. Does that mean there will indeed be an "aftermath" map included in the book?

Additionally, will we see the maps in a downloadable format here on paizo.com after or near the release of the hardcover?

Thanks for your attention.

Neomorte,

There is definitely an aftermath map in the Shackled City Hardcover book, and it looks sweet!!

I'm quite proud of it too...can't wait to see how fans react when they see it. :)

Is Mapmaker THE Christopher West?

I bow to your skill. I have tried many times to create a map in photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. You know what you are doing, there is no doubt about it.

The inclusion of the map is just why I will buy the AP2 even though, obviously, I will not be running it anytime soon. Paizo listens to their customers and fans. That sort of dedication from a business is difficult to come across now.

On another note, will the maps be downloadable in some form on or around the release date of the book?

Thanks to all.

I am not a subscriber to dungeon or dragon magazines but, i do frequently pick up dungeon. About a month or so ago i decieded to spend my hard earned income on the shackeled city adventure path, so i purchased all of the back issues i was missing(11 of em). So i spent like 50 bucks on the 11 issues and the shipping and handling. Now Paizo comes out with it in hardback and want to charge me another 50+ bucks. Come on! I have been a serious DM ( above the age of 12) for 20+ years now. This is getting out of control with the prices. So can i send back my 11 issues for a refend and get the hardcover instead. Obviously not! So why charge so much for the new product. At least give those of us who have already spent 50 bucks on it a discount or something.

Chris..

For one you do not HAVE to buy it :)

For Two. The Hard cover contains ALOT of information in it the magazines do not.. so it while yes it is spendy.. and yes I paid as much if not more the same as you for back issues of the adventure path.. I am enjoying the HC much more and really love it.. running the adventure out of the book is SO much nicer.. especially with all the back ground information and such. I also lik the map book, the player handouts and the new map of cauldron with the aftermath map on it. it is sweet!!

Since I am running the adventure path and am on Flood season.. I went and bought the book yesterday afternoon and then came home in tme for my weekly game.. to resume running the adventure straight from the book.. hardly had time to take five minutes to really peruse the book :)

Now that I am able to.. I love it even more!!
