Hi, Everyone.

I'm GMing a game and Wednesday the players, which are all new to PF2, will encounter a situation where they must either climb a 15-foot wall or a 30-foot cliff. The DC for the cliff is 18 and I'm guessing the wall is around 30. I'm guessing at least one player will use a grappling hook so I'm preparing for that, but the information I'm finding isn't very specific. What bonus will a grappling hook provide to climing the cliff and wall?

In the 'Core Rulebook' (p. 290) it says a grappling hook "make[s] the climb easier."
The climbing kit (p. 289) says it includes a grappling hook, but it doesn't give a bonus to climb unless it's the Climbing Kit Extreme that gives "+1 item bonus to Athletics checks to Climb."

Any thoughts on the bonus of just a grappling hook?

Thanks.

I dabbed a little with Pathfinder 1E and I recently decided, after some research, to fully commit myself to Pathfinder 2E. I want to better understand Pathfinder's world, so I've been considering running "Rise of the Runelords" since it was the first AP. Is this a good idea? Do you think it would be difficult to do the conversion? And why is that AP popular?

Thanks so much in advance.

My players and I are new to Pathfinder 2e, and we're running into new rules situations regularly. I have a player who's is playing a goblin monk and he loves jumping on other PCs' shoulders to do things like fight. I want the players to be able to attemp anything they can imagine as long as it's reasonable, but I do want to stick with the rules to maintain consistent balanced mechanics. What do you suggest for rolls dealing with a monk first jumping onto someone's shoulders and then fighting there? Should there be first a High Jump roll? Should there be an Acrobatics roll after a successful jump, every round to maintain it, or after every attack or received hit?

Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming a player can choose a lower level feat if they wish, but I just want to verify. If you know the page number and/or quote the rule that would be great.

Thank!

I'm watching a video about thievery and at one part the person shows a rule that two actions are required per attempt and they cannot be split up between rounds. I've been looking through the core rulebook and online and I have yet to find where it says it can't be split. My group hasn't been splitting actions up, but I want to know for sure what's going on in case it comes up.

Here's the video:

It's at 7:12 in the video where he mentions how attempts can't be split between rounds.

Please give a page number for where it says it can't be split.

Thanks!
