Make a spoiler specifiacally for your ability scores, and put them their. Backstory is whatever you want. Make a backstory and physical description spoiler for those. Also, put your:
Under your gender section.
Read through your race, which would you have followed the walkthrough, you would have already! READ THE FLIPPIN' WALKTHROUGH, I SPENT FOREVER MAKING IT, FOLOW IT, AND YOU WILL GET A GOOD CHARACTER I WON'T EVEN QUESTION!!!!!!!!! STOP ASKING QUESTIONS I ALREADY ANSWERED!!!!!!! Come on guys, show a little respect and act like you read it! I already answered most of these questions: FOLLOW THE WALKTHROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, you have the right Idea, in the guide I say to put things into spoilers, and this helps organize information, to do this, right information inbetween the code: [*spoiler=name]
just get rid of the asterisk, and change the name, then put the information I told you to in the spoiler, so it looks like this: Name: important stuff
Ok, lets get started, THis is your guide to building a character, please, don't think this means don't ask more annoying questions, Ok, here goes. 1. Ability Scores:
For ability scores, you have two options, First, you can figure out the point buy system, or you can use the presets I give you. You get 6 different ability scores, STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, and CHA. CHECK YOUR CLASS BEFORE YOU JUST PUT YOUR STATS IN, MAKE SURE YOU MAKE YOUR STATS COMPLIMENT YOUR CLASS/RACE. Point Buy:
Now, go into your RACE page, and look under racial traits to find the bonuses/pentalties to which abilities and for how much. Just because you set up a certain stat block, does't mean it will be the same after you add in your racial bonuses. When I refer to your [Ability Bonus] bonus (for example DEX bonus, or STR bonus) I mean your modifier. A ability modifier is a number, that represents your ability scores. To figure it out, for every 2 after 10 is 1 (for example if your ability score is 12, your modifier is 1, if your modifier is 13, it is still 1, if your score is 16, your modifier is 3 and so on...) List your abilities in a spoiler, not in the given space, so you can include your modifiers. 2. Race:
READ THROUGH YOUR RACE PAGE!!!!
Assuming you have already set up your ability scores and picked your race, you now need to put into effect your racial traits. List your racial speed and sight under senses. For other Racial traits, copy and past them into a spoiler labeled Special Abilities (Do not use the given special abilites box). Make sure it is included in your character sheet. You also get to pick your height, age, and weight. look under average age, height, and weight for your race, and for age, apply your class that you are planning on picking. 3. Class:
READ THROUGH YOUR CLASS PAGE!!!!
You are Level 1. Just setting that strait. First off, get your HP (Health Points) by taking your HD(hit dice) and take the max number (for example, d10 means take 10, d4 means take a 4) and add your Constitution bonus to get your HP, Record this in your gender box (just trust me on this one) You also get the choice at first level, do you want on more HP, or one more skill rank? you choose. Ok, read your class features, adn copy and paste them into your special abilities spoiler. Now, what you want to do is first list your BAB (base attack bonus) on your character sheet under the offense spoiler. You then want figure out your Fort, Ref, and Will bonuses. For fortitude, add your fortitude bonus and your constitution. For Reflex add your Reflex bonus and your Dexterity bonus. For Will add you Will bonus and Wisdom bonus. List these under your defenses spoiler. Next you want to write what your special is and put it under your Special Abilities spoiler. For an in depth on your special abilities, it is listed under the Chart that lists everything just talked about. Your class also lists what you are proficient with. Record this under Special Abilities. You also should have racial proficiencies. Go to the equipment page on the SRD and get yourself some equipment. Make sure you are proficient with what you buy. You have 175 gp. 4. Skills:
First off, get how many Skill Ranks you have. This is listed under your class. So, add your Skill ranks per level to your INT modifier to get total amount of skill ranks. Now, go under you class, and find your class skills. Copy and Paste these to the skills spoiler. You can only put as many ranks into something as you have class levels, so, you can only put one rank into a skill. When you put a skill into a rank, you get a bonus of one, and a bonus of 3 for it being a class skill, and you also add your corresponding ability modifier. You can find out the corresponding skills on the SRD, just search it in the search box. 5. Equipment:
Check your weapon and armor proficiencies, then go on a shopping spree. Go to the equipment page on the SRD and get yourself some equipment. Make sure you are proficient with what you buy. You have 175 gp. 6. Miscellaneous:
AC: to get your AC, add your Armor Bonus, Dexterity bonus, shield bonus, and size modifier. A medium sized creature does not have a size bonus (size bonus only applies to halfings and gnomes) Melee Weapons: To get your attack bonus to your weapon, add your BAB, and your STR. To get your damage, use the dice roll listed (e.g. 1d4, 1d6 etc.) then put +STR bonus. List under offense. Ranged Weapons: This is the same as a Melee weapon, except now you use DEX instead of your STR bonus. List under Offense. CMB (Combat Manuveur Bonus): Add your BAB, STR, and size modifier to this to get your CMB. List under Offense. CMD (Combat Manuvuer Defense): for CMD, add 10 + BAB + STR + DEX + Size Modifier. List under Defenses. Touch Defense: This is your AC without your Armor bonus. List under Defense. Flat-Footed: This is your AC without your DEX bonus. At this point, if you do not have spells and such, you are done, YAY! Spellcasters, when you have finished this, talk to me. Ok, ready for the onslaught of questions... |
