Mythandor points at the ring Gash has strung around his neck. That one is called Absolla and commands the powers of cold and ice. And that one, indicating the ring hanging on Sylvis' necklace, is called Ventus. She is associated with wind and air. If you choose to bond with them, as we did, I'm sure you will learn more.

Ah yes, the rings, Mythandor replied, spinning his own ring upon his blackened pinky finger absentmindedly with his thumb. In the simplest terms, they each contain the essence of a last of their kind entities trapped within the rings. We have a symbiotic relationship with them. They provide us some measure of ability, as well as speaking to us. Mine goes by the name Ignis and he grants me powers based on the element of fire.

The most obvious thing new about Mythandor was his new shield. He had been practicing the last week or so with it and mentioned he had now perfected the ability to join his spells with his sword strikes. The golem would have to wait, perhaps forever, as building one was well beyond his current capabilities. He expressed regret that Tagagashi and Suki had had to leave. Especially considering the circumstances. He hoped they would be well and promised to visit once the exploration of the Spire was completed. He tried his best to welcome the newcomers to the group.

Satisfied that the bugbear is utterly defeated, Mythandor withdraws his blade from the creature's shoulder. I'm inclined to let you go. If we do, I insist that you leave here and never come back. And I don't just mean this tower, I mean this area entirely. You put many many miles between here and where you end up, and then double or even triple that. If we ever even catch wind or sight of you, you will not find our second encounter so forgiving. If you even think of disobeying this command, know that I will using magic to determine if you are adhering to this arrangement.

You know I'm a mage because I cast a spell at you. Did they cast spells at you? Seeing as how they managed to go down below I guess you aren't very good at keeping up your end of the bargain with Klarkosh. Mythandor says goading the angry bugbear. You don't know much, are terrible at your one assignment, having been bested by a couple of others, and who knows how many others, before getting a sound thrashing here today, and are now destitute and homeless. Are you sure you just dont want me to put you out of your miserable existence?

Plus another two mages he said, Mythandor corrects. With his sword tip still pressing firmly into Grulk's shoulder, he asks of his hostage, And how do you know these other two individuals were mages? Can you describe them? Doesn't bode well for them if they have been down there for weeks I'm thinking. And you have no idea what this "Klarkosh" is doing in the Spire? Do you think that he lives down there or is he delving the ruins the same as us?

If you pull at your restraints one more time I'll put my blade somewhere more painful than your shoulder, Mythandor states matter-of-factly as he repositions his sword to Grulk's throat. If you want any chance of surviving the next few minutes you better convince us that you have some worthwhile information to trade for your life. You nearly killed poor Suki here and that wasn't very nice.

Round 2 RETCON On the ground in front of the door Mythandor's eyes pop open. My thanks dear friend! he says in a raspy voice. Rising from the floor (MA) he spies the snoring adversary through the narrow opening. Nice work Master Kip, he adds with a nod towards the sorcerer. I don't think I want you to have that should you somehow survive the next minute, he continues staring at the bow on the other side of the door. Scooping up his own dropped sword (MA) he stares at the bow intent on retrieving it with magic in a moment. Who wants to chop down this door? Status and Effects:

Before climbing the stairs, Mythandor returned the glowing light rock Tagagashi found just previously. As Mythandor followed Bamur and the others up the stairs, the wizard found the green stone to be quite interesting as well. No master dwarf, I don't believe I have, was his reply. As they ascended, Mythandor cast his cantrip that allowed for him to examine the Weave, his eyes briefly glowing blue, and focused on the glowing spire. (detect magic) Bamur's next remarks gets his attention back on the task at hand and redirects his attention to the door blocking their advancement. From our view of the building complex as we approached, do we have an idea as to whether this upper level is just a tower or part of a second whole floor? How far up have we climbed so far?

Mythandor catches the tossed bag. I am sure it is just a simple light incantation placed upon a small object. They are quite common, but best to make sure, he says as he opens the bag to confirm his hypothesis.

Interesting, Mythandor thinks to himself. With an intricate gesture and speaking words laced with arcane power, the wizard opens his mind to the weave to confirm his suspicion. detect magic After his examination, he returns the parchment to the scroll tube and places it in his trusty pack. Anyone else find anything of significance?

Mythandor passes the wand to Bamur, explaining what it is, and how to activate it. When the others have deemed it safe to do so, the wizard approaches the table and examines the various scattered parts and jars. Some of these might come in handy, he muses out loud indicating the automaton pieces. He then plucks the scroll tube from the table and slides the contents out for examination.

Mythnador's attention returns to the goblin that Suki blames for her behaviour. A spell caster of some sort most likely. Don't beat yourself up Suki. Magic can make anyone do strange things. Mythandor again speaks the words of his magic detecting cantrip and carefully observes the goblin in question.

This construct is all that remains of an "Emerald Automaton". There are, or were, quite common in the Spire from what I understand. This one seems to have been repaired by these goblins. Quite impressive actually, although I was concerned when it started to spark and spasm... In any case, what remains of it could fetch a handsome price. Or perhaps we could look at attempting to repair it ourselves.

GM: I would be lying if said some of this doesn't make me uncomfortable, but then, you already know this. Are we to remain in this state for the entirety of my life span? I think this goes beyond "helping" and strays into "hijacking" if I am being completely honest. Is there a manner in which we COULD separate? Would you resist if I tried?

Mythandor watches the ring blacken the pinky finger of his left hand. Fascinating, is his only remark as he turns his hand over, examining the ring from every angle. Calling upon his arcane knowledge and using his spells he tries to determine anything he can about his new symbiote.
