My witch, not being at all happy with the stereotype that it's a profession for women, refers to himself as a "warlock" when asked about his magical abilities. At all other times he's just an alchemist.
As far as I know, you can bond with any weapon. It's not limited to just one weapon forever, just one weapon per use.

Child scent is too funny to not take. Something the character isn't proud that he can do.
"It's a witch thing. Drop it."
Slumber will definitely be taken, it's just a matter of WHEN.
And that Master Alchemist feat sounds like a good choice for 5th level...

This is not making m decision making process any easier. Cauldron is kinda key, flavorwise. I suppose I could put it off, and just run off my Craft (Alchemy) for a while...
Slumber is another one I really like, but I did take Sleep as a spell, so that's covered for a bit.
I've recently built a witch, and I've noticed that there are a LOT of hexes I want. Right off the bat I like Evil Eye, Cackle, Fortune, Misfortune, Flight, Cauldron, and a few others. At level one I'm taking Evil Eye and cackle, with Cauldron at level 2.
My question is, how bad of an idea is it to keep taking Extra Hex as a feat? I know hexes are about as good as a feat in some cases, but I know I should probably take other feats as well. Any thoughts?
I think Ultimate Magic has a guide for building an angel eidolon.
It's a very outdoorsy adventure. Druids, Rangers, Inquisitors all seem to do well. Ranged ability is handy, as are social skills.

Kraznuk Jawsnapper is a half-orc Martial artist monk, raised with the Crushbone clan of orcs. They're the clan of orcs who invented the Boar style, eschewing the battle-axes and falchions on their cousins, preferring to rip their opponents to shreds. Kraznuk was a renowned fighter, using the quickness from his human side to outspeed his opponents. One day, he challenged the war chief to a fight for dominance, and was soundly defeated. Ashamed, he left the village, vowing to gain strength and return one day to claim the throne.
He does carry a falchion with him, and allows humans to think of him as another dumb half-orc fighter. But he relished the chance to mix it up, and never draws the blade in a fight.

What about Alistair from Dragon Age (if you don't find him to be overly whiny). I personally liked his wisecracks, and is as close to a Paladin as you'd find in Dragon Age.
Yeah, I was afraid he wouldn't be effective being a level one Eidolon. Again, it was mostly for flavor, but maybe this is an idea to be locked up in the vault. Thanks for the advice!
How bad of an idea would it be to take a level dip into Summoner? I'm currently a level 2 Mooncaller Druid with a slight melee focus. The flavor of the character is very wolf-heavy (didn't take wolf shaman mostly because I don't like what it does to Wild Shape.) I was thinking somewhere down the line taking a level in Summoner to get a wolfy eidolon, and enhance my sub-par summoning skills. I like the flavor, but how terrible is it, mechanically?
Thorin2011 wrote: okay a little off topic how can You mix the arch types?? take one level as one then one level as the other?? or basicly take both at the same time?? Both at the same time. As long as they don't both give up the same class feature, you can take multiple archetypes. As the character levels, you gain the bonuses for both archetypes taken.
A wild horse would run from any small, grinning humanoid nearby, ESPECIALLY if it looks threatening.
Well the druid's core weapon is a spear, but I thought this could be a more discreet option in a civilized setting where they may not appreciate you wandering around with a spear. So that's why I went with a club, not a rod.
blackbloodtroll wrote: Basically, you combine the pricing of a wondrous item and a magic weapon. So, I'm thinking about 1,300 gp? (300 for the masterwork club, and I used a 1st level Pearl of Power as a base for the spell). That sound about right?
So I watched Dark Shadows today, and I was intrigued by Depp's cane, and would like to build a custom cane for my Druid. But my question is, how much would it cost to create? I was thinking a normal 1d6 dmg oak club as a base, with an ivory handle. The enchantment on the club would be at will Speak with Animals, but only for canines (dogs, wolves, etc). Not a very useful weapon, but I like the flavor.
If it doesn't speak your language, and you don't speak its, then yes.
I may be a bit old fashioned, but I find that a longsword can be a good base weapon for many melee characters, at least to start.
Bardess wrote: There are wolverines, also. A Wolverine Druid... nice! Oh man, the thought of that totally makes me regret my wolf themed Druid!
I had planned on doing that anyway, so she can understand Common.
Sow terror is really, really neat, but can a wolf use that? The description specifically mentions bugbears, and mentions tactics that don't sound like things a wolf would do.
Never played a Half-Elf. They just hold no appeal to me whatsoever.
Aha, completely missed that "+4 to smaller targets" bit on the skill! Thanks!

Is it worth it to give my Druid's wolf companion Intimidate? I'm currently level two, so her Charisma score is still a 6 (a nasty -4 from the core stat), but I really like the idea of the snarling wolf intimidating a thug or bandit. Especially she gets to be Large. Is there a way to circumvent her poor Charisma stat so she can Intimidate without dumping all of her ability increases into Charisma?
Well, according to this neat little test, I'm Lawful Neutral. Which makes sense as a Soldier/ aspiring police officer.

Also this is my first post. Hi!
EDIT: Saw the "How to" after I hit submit. Heh...
