Hey guy's looking for confirmation of the source on something I came across there. I was looking up stuff on Animal Companions and came across this guide:

Under 'Part III: We can build it stronger... faster....' it states:

"One often overlooked option is instead of taking the listed benefit at 4th or 7th level, you can instead choose to increase the companion's Dexterity and Constitution by 2. This doesn't make sense for many companions, who get powerful abilities like stun or pounce for taking the standard levelling package. If you want a scout, or you have a dex based companion like a giant weasel it may be viable though"

Anyone know where this rule comes from? I use Hero Lab and I wanna know what package I need to enable this. I also want to make sure it's legal for PFS ^^

How do I do this I've been asked to play tomorrow night but just got in to a message saying to generate stats I have to roll 4d6 9 times, keep the best 3 and allocate them on a grid...

I've been looking on the forum and on Google but can't find anything to explain how to do it, all I seem to find is mathematical arguments...

Could someone explain it to me?

Also am I allowed to exchange my GP for PP at 10 to 1 to reduce my personal encumbrance?

I use Hero Lab so I can just enter it on my journal as Exchanged GP for PP?

Hi there, I'm about to play my second ever session of PFS tomorrow, and wanted to clarify if I can buy normal equipment to stock up for it with the gold I earned in my first session?

EG; Acid flasks to use as a power component for my acid splash, a crossbow for when I've used all my spells, ammo etc...

Also I'd bought a saddle for my giant weasel but wont be able to ride it till It's lvl 4 ad medium so can I sell the saddle to lose the encumbrance? If so, do I sell it for half the price I paid? and do I need to enter this on a tracking sheet or anything?

Just want to be sure I'm doing the right thing ^^

Hopefully Hero Lab will get back to me in a couple of days with some good news. If they implement a fix I'll post again here to says so.

Hi guys, I'm about to play my first PFS Game and after reading through what I needed to download in order to make my Gnome Sylvan Sorcerer with a Giant Weasel Companion using Hero Lab, I've noticed I don't get the Blood Drain attack ability, but I do get the Grab (Attach) ability and when I check against the additional resources guide on the Piazo site theres no apparent reason why I shouldn't get it...

It states:

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Bestiary 4

Animal Companions (p. 311): dimorphodon, giant seahorse, giant tortoise, giant weasel, stag, styracosaurus, trumpeter swan, velociraptor, and walrus are legal for play; Familiars: all familiars listed on pages 96-97 and the almirajes, giant flea, greensting scorpion, nosoi psychopomp, nycar, pooka, and scarlet spider are legal for play; Feats: none of the feats are legal for play for PCs, animal companions, or familiars unless specifically granted by another legal source; Other: all creatures in this book are legal for polymorph effects (including a druid's wild shape ability) within the boundaries of each spell or ability's parameters. All languages found in this book are available for a character to learn with the linguistics skill.

Just wondering if there's something I'm missing or if it's a fault with Hero Lab; any idea's or is there a workaround I could use? I'm playing in like 12 hours.

I've posted on the Hero Lab forum and submitted a bug report.
