Morrigan slides the ale back to the newcomer. No thanks. I need to head out early in the morning. Her disdain for the man is quickly evident. Arrogant hedonist. She turns to Cian. Speaking of that...Cian, I am going to need to head North tomorrow. You will have to go on to Endhome without me.

One problem I am having is I can't get into my character. Since there has been so little interaction with her, can I bring in a new persona as long as it is still a cleric?

She bumps Cian with the end of her spear. Now this silver tongued one...he...is definitely royalty. Right Prince Cian? She grins at her friend.

I have a PC with this domain power in another game and we just had her designate a companion to use it on (the one with the highest init bonus) and that PC gets two entries on the party initiative macro.

Since not much has happened, should I post or wait until combat is over?

Also, my domain power allows a companion to roll twice and take the higher result for his initiative. How will this work with the way we do intiative. Should I switch domains?

I'm sorry all. Things have not recovered as expected. I am working 50+ hour weeks with a 1 1/2 to 2 hour commute to work. I would like to continue, but do not think my inconsistency is fair to my games. I probably need to bow out. I wish you all the best.

Morrigan rode her steed across the rolling hills. Her tribe should not be far now. She had grown up with the Tuath. She was the daughter of Cadeyrn and Brietta MacSual. Her mother met her father during the High Summer gathering many years ago. Brietta was born to a priestess of Freya. As such, she had sworn an oath of celibacy. She was a hunter of the great Goddess. She traveled with other young female warriors protecting the land. This was until she met Caderyn. It was love at first sight. She left her clan and joined the Tuath by marriage. The two lived happily among the Tuath. She was accepted into the clan and learned their traditions. She was soon pregnant and gave birth to the beautiful, blond baby. The couple named her Morrigan, which meant "Daughter of the Light", and raised her in the Tuath traditions.

Morrigan had a wonderful childhood growing up in the clan. She was gifted in arms and wise beyond her years. She thought life would move forward uneventfully. That was until the dreams started. They started small, but soon become unavoidable. In each of the dreams, she was a heroine of light, fighting against the darkness that sought to consume the land. Her mother taught her about the goddess Freya and soon Morrigan was off on a quest to find other sisters of the faith.

She joined the church her mother had originally served and became a priestess. With other female warriors, the group traveled around protecting the locals and sharing the faith. In all, she spent eight years with the church of Freya. As it often does, home started calling the new priestess. With the blessing of the church, Morrigan now traveled back to her people.

Upon arriving, much had changed. Her mother and father had fallen during an orcish raid. She spent the first week with her people morning her parents. During this time, she was reacquainted with a childhood friend, Cian MacLir. He had grown into a handsome warrior. The two quickly rekindled their childhood friendship, spending hours training with each other in warfare. One night, Morrigan had a vision of great darkness decending on Bard's Gate. After much discussion and the blessing on the elders, they now travel towards Bard's Gate to seek their destinies.

Freya is a lesser goddess of love and fertility. She is also the leader of a great band of women warriors known on some planes of existence as Valkyries. Freya represents fertility in all its forms. On this plane, Freya represents the cycle of death and rebirth. She is a goddess of the coming harvest as well as a goddess of sexuality and procreation. Her beast is the falcon, though she is fond of the winter wolf and the stag. She appears most frequently to her worshipers as a beautiful human woman dressed in robes and a cloak of winter wolf fur, though she occasionally appears as a huntress in leather armor with a sword and bow, or as a warrior in shining mail with glowing sword. She can take the form of a falcon—or any other bird—at will, as well as the form of a huge winter wolf.

Tuath seem perfect. I think I will go with that and then maybe she was called out to join a group of Freya's chosen and traveled for awhile training under them. Now she has returned to her clan. Maybe she knew Cian as a child (childhood friends) and has recently reunited with him. Her mission now is be faithful so one day she can join the Valkyrie?

There is some decent info. I'm not reading any spoilers of this campaign or Crucible of Freya. I was excited to read:

"Religion

The most powerful churches in Endhome are Freyja (L, love, fertility, leader of half the valkyries), Girru (L, fire & protection), and St Solanus of Crisos (L, sun, healing). The death cult of the worm god Sarku (C, death, undead) is outlawed. It was discovered M5 2744 that the temple of Ksarul (L-N-C, magic, mystery, hidden knowledge) was actually a front for Sarku cultists, now deceased. The Albine Church of Girru is growing rapidly in popularity and influence under the leadership of Cambyses, said to wield miraculous powers granted by the Fire Lord himself."

Since I chose Freya as my deity. I am really trying to put together a good backstory!

This is all I have found about barbarian tribes near Endhome:

"The human barbarian tribesmen of the Coast Range are closely related to the tribes of the Sorganzorro marshes to the west and the pre-Narish inhabitants of Imgart Province. They are often collectively referred to as the Sorgani. They are a dark people, fierce and proud, hardened by countless centuries of warfare against the orcs who share their mountain home. Ok. Here is the avatar and crunch (in the profile) for my cleric of Freya. I plan for her to be a Valkyrie wanna be from the mountains. Where is there a barbarian type community near Endhome. I plan for her to have a "holy vision" and come down into the community to protect the people in that area. Sound OK?
