Female Human Barbarian 1

As the man and Deck spoke Moria just listened. Why would they have been hired if there wasn’t any trouble? Things just didn’t add up. When the old man indicated he is in charge Moris is even more confused. If he is in charge shouldn’t he know about the hiring of guards?

Pushing such thoughts from her mind she looks over the spears. She would do much better with her own weapons so when Ikkath takes two spears she puts up no fuss. Less for her to carry anyway.

Following the other she keeps an eye out for trouble.

”The man in charge did seem to know we were coming. Does anyone else find that odd?”

When Deck speaks of staying out after dark Moria shakes her head in the negative.

”We were not hired to go looking for trouble. I doubt it would be wise to stay outside the wall after dark. I think the idea to speak to the workers is a better one.”

Moria follows behind the half-orc. He seems to know what he is doing and who to talk to.

Moria gathers up her things and listens to the exchange between Deck and Kryd. It seems like this might be an interesting journey. Taking a deep breath she follows the others into the wood. She tried to get a feeling for the place they were entering.

Moria wrinkled her nose as Kyrd does what he does. The man had been a villain but there was no dignity in this. As for taking the items Moris shook her head.

“I need none of the dead man’s things.”

She was glad Deck spoke up about the desecration. He was a good man giving the bartender some of the items. It was also good that he took credit for the kill and did not hide like a coward.

Listening to the history of the boom stick made Moris’s head hurt. She was not one for lectures and took to keeping a look out of any other trouble.

As they wander toward the forest Deck’s suggestion at Moria nodding.

“Yes, we should make camp.”

She growls lightly at Kyrd not wanting to argue about this.

“We need rest. We can start fresh in the morning.”

For her part Moria starts to assemble her tent.

Moria is more then a little gob smacked when Deck takes out the leader in one shot. She watches as the other three cowards run away. With a smile on her face she nods to Deck.

“You are a good shot. I am glad you are with us.”

She watches as Kryd loots the body then defaces it. Moria cringes a little but dose not abject.

”We should get moving. In case the others come back with friends.”

While she would not shy away from battle she did not want to tax the group with a fight that might be too much for them.

Don't think a Javelin would be a good thing to toss right now but thanks for the heads up.

"I think you should listen to the man and be on your way."

Moria growled attempting to intimidate the man holding the crossbow

Moria watched the exchange wondering is Deck could talk these jerks out of their seeming need to hurt the bar keep. When the light crossbow is drawn and aimed at the man Moria places her hand on her great sword. Clearly these guys were looking for a fight. She waited to see what would happen next if only to not get the rest of the group in trouble.

As soon as the men entered the bar Moria smelled a shake down. From the way they held them selves to how arrogant the leader was. It mad her mad…they didn’t want to see her mad. When Deck whispered about having his back she nodded leveling her gaze at the leader.

”Place looks fine to me…”

She growls to the leader in a low tone.

Moria scowled at the two men as they spoke in languages she didn’t understand. Her fist came down on the table with a loud BANG.

”Speak common so we can all understand. It does the party no good to keep secrets…or act superior.”

She leveled her gaze at Kryd as she spoke. He was the one either showing off or being difficult. Either way Moria didn’t see them getting along. Not that she had anything against Tieflings as a race.

Deck on the other hand seemed a more easy going sort. He too had spoke Elven but it seemed he had done so more to show up Kryd then anything else.

”It is…nice.”

She said commenting about the inn. Moris was sitting with her back against the wall her eyes scanning the crowd for any trouble, not that there was any. She felt confined here, even if it was a lovely inn.

”I believe they are fraught with dangers. So to some degree I do believe. However I also believe tales have been exaggerated.”

She looked to the others to see what they thought.
