I understand we are now in the water and i was retroactivly given the ring of swimming so i can take 10 and actually pass the 15 swim check cuz of the ranks i put in swim, because i can auto succeed i think ill pull up the rear to keep us safe Morgrym was never fond of water but in this case they didnt have a choice, with the magic of the ring he had been given his swiming skills were strong enough that he could hold his own in the waters of the bay "Thanks to this ring i can handle these waters with no issues lads, make your way to safty ill pull up the rear and keep us safe as i can. just dont make this take forever, move your butts lads!" preparing an attack if anything gets near and move as best i can to keep up with the group 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

I can work on that level up, being a father can be taxing, little girl caught a cold and was over it in a day, rest of the house has been knocked flat for 3 days! Morgrym was certainly happy that a trigger happy companion allowed them to avoid a possibly hairy situation. Round 6 Morgryms forehead now glistens with sweat, this fight was going on for a bit now and his breathing was getting heavier, while in good shape this is still quite the work out and the stench made breathing difficult. Seeing Ri'el's body stiffen and drop to the ground Morgrym gets angry and shouts at the creatures "Listen up you ugly smelly wenches! You hurt me friend, now im gunna hurt you!" The creatures speed and ferocity caught Morgrym off guard but that didnt slow his assault in the least "Time to show them what we are made of lads! take these disgusting things down! and with that Morgrym once again raises his axe and strives again to damage these fiendish creatures feel i should point out that i only took 3 damage, stonelords get DR/adamantine = to half their level starting at level 2, no biggie there though. attack+bab: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 damage+str: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 well that aint hittin squat! darn

Morgrym sees the creatures turn agresive the moment they heard the party anounce themselves and prepares to make them into mince meat. "Stay behind me lads, take em out one at a time and they should drop fast! anyone know if these things can talk? should we take one alive?" Morgrym looking at the options presented humms and haws a moment before pointing out an issue "I can certainly see the merrit in getting a rope bridge set up, i think without one id lack the balance in this armor to get across safely. If we tie off the rope on this end to a tree and one of you crosses and ties it off to the far side that should certainly make the crossing easier. though looking at the distance a single length of rope wont do, Ive got 50 feet or so but i dont think that will get all the way across"

Not being the shy sort but not sure what to do as the dwarven hatred for goblins and their kin bubbles up he has to take a moment to push aside his prejudices before greeting Eli "Greetings, Me name be Morgrym and it seems that my friends here already count you as one of theirs. What brought you to this murky hell hole of an island? and have you seen anyone else here at all?"

Wispering to the others "We aint got a good idea its a threat, could be just as scared as us, get your weapons up but lets announce ourselves shall we?" Morgrym's sense of duty would not allow him to attack an unaware opponent unless he was certain this opponent was something deserving of death. If they announce themselves and it attacks he will accept responsibility for the danger he put them in but he had to be certain of its intentions first.

"see anything of interest lad? this place dont sit well with me and the sooner we can get out o here the better" Morgrym nervously looked into the trees of the jungle island, they have a purpose here but it looks like this island wont simply give them everything they need and they will need to fight it or abandon their quest.

Morgrym gently places a hand on Ri'el's back and says equally out loud as to Ri'el himself "Looks like we be gettin our chance to look for em, lets not be waistin time. Grab yer gear and lets get to the boats. one o you is gunna need to show me how to use em!" Morgrym goes with purpose to fetch his gear and secures his pack and makes a small prayer hoping to find their crew mates alive and well. getting back to to the deck of the ship he waits impatiently by the boat for the other "Lets be movin lads, time waits for no one after all!"

Later on while working Morgrm tries to take one of his companions aside, showing them the piece of the bandana he inquires "Does this look like it belonged to either o yer friends thats gone missing? i found it near some oh those things looked to have climed on board. yer Plugg seems to be an underhanded sort but i dont tihk he had a hand in the missin peoples" Morgrym hopes that if his words are true that they can discover the fate of those people, be it that they are dead and at peace or if they live that they can be saved. first thing he will vote for once the ship is out of plugg's hands is confirming the locations of these crew members. being captive is a horrible thing he wishes upon no one. not after his time in a cage.

Morgrym takes the bandanna crap and pockets it wondering to whom may belong, he markedly notes to ask the others when they meet again in the evening as they know the crew of this ship better, he has only been among them for a day or two at least. Morgrym takes his time with the work he is assigned, ensuring it is done well, no need for any leaks to spring when they are further out at sea after all.

Morgrym listens to the roll call and hardly notices when his name is called. One of his friends has to poke him so he remembers to respond, Morgrym while in the middle of a dangerous place and in a situation that will soon call for violence with the comanding officers but the task at hand was to get this ship sea worthy, and locate that missing crew if they could. speaking to his companions as the meeting breaks "keep yer eyes peeled fer the missing crew lads, but lets keep this boat on the waves, nothin like bein ship wrecked im more than certain" moving about his tasks morgrym keeps a keen eye out for anything out of the usual on the ship, signs or blood or a struggle or anything of use to the location of the missing persons Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Cleaning the sickly blood from his axe Morgrym looks to the others "Looks like this trip has all the perks dont it. Anyone take a hit? seems we are in for more fun before this is all over" Morgrym looks about the ship, the combat being over just as soon as it started leaves an odd feeling of foreboding in is mind and he has trouble shaking that while the ship returns to their duties and dealing with the sotrmy seas at hand

ah, seems it flipped pages and i didnt look at the end of the last one Morgrym after commenting on the battle plans turns back to Davina "So it seems we are all hear against our will... do you all plan on stayin pirates? Id by happy to help you with your buisness in the shackles, and if the events of the near future mean we have a ship o our own it would mean that we could chase anyone's goals here in these waters. I myself am here lookin to see if any knowledge can be found about my nature. see im not a normal paladin but whats Known as a stone lord. I lack most of the normal magics and skills that a paladin has but instead have the heart and streangth o the earth within. we could even become pirate hunters. Im sure they have lots in the way o cash and it would be a service to these waters that doesnt have us killin or looting honest folk"

taking some time after his meditations Morgrym finds Davina and asks a very blunt question "Davina, If we are to fight I need to more of the people we are fighting. What can you tell me of these officers who betray their captain? Admitedly im thrown into this mess and am sticking by you all but i hardly know you. Ive seen your captain kill in cold blood, and i can assume these men are no better but how did you all end up upon this ship? or have you all always been scalywags as ive head it put?" She can tell from the voice he seems conflicted and is looking for a reason to fight beside these people he has just met and a reason to trust them to have his back and not betray him like these other pirates seemed so easy to do

Preparing for the day ahead Morgrym says his prayers to his god hoping that a guiding hand will see them through the events to come. Life at sea is certainly not something he had expected when his life began but the tales of crews working together like brothers does appeal to him. But at the same time he still wants to search for more knowledge on his earthen powers and where they come from. Life has certainly changed and there is no sign of it slowing
